Washington (AP) – A deadline that breaks down on Monday to close the Federal Government when the Republicans backfill democratic demands to save the financing of health care beforehand, while the Democrats to play a newly discovered willingness to play hardball, even if this means to close offices and services.
Republican leaders are ready to describe the bluff of the Democrats, possibly only this week, with a test vote before the end of the month to keep the government going.
GOP leaders said that they could complete a vote on a short-term expenditure law that the Federal Government would keep the up-to-date budget on October 1st. It would probably be a momentary patch until mid -November.
The spokesman for the House, Mike Johnson, said that the measure would include means to escalate security for legislators after the murder of the conservative activist Charlie Kirk. In addition, the Trump government announced that it is asking the Congress of 58 million US dollars for increased financing for the US marshal service and security for the Supreme Court. And the Senate is considering its own suggestions.

In the past budget campaigns, it was Republicans who were ready to start shops to focus on their priority requirements. The democratic chairman of the Senate, Chuck Schumer, said he and the democratic chairman Hakeem Jeffries in the lower house are against laws that do not contain any vital health care provisions.
They have concentrated in particular on the potential for the exploding health premiums for millions of Americans if the congress extends unexpected subsidies that many people complete for insurance via the Affordable Care Act exchange. It is unclear whether the Democrats would support a momentary funding law to avoid interruption from the government if the talks about the problem of health care were held.
Jeffries gave an explanation in response to Trump’s comments for social media and said that insurance premiums are leaving and millions of Americans lose cover. He also warned that hospitals, nursing homes and community -based health clinics close across the country.
“House Democrats will not support a Republican edition Act that continues to affect the health care system of the American people. This is what this closing fight is about, Mr. President,” said Jeffries.
On both sides of the political gait there is support for the expansion of tax credits that have become more affordable for millions of people since the Covid 19 pandemic. But there are still differences about how to do this.
The Democrats threaten to agree to close the government at the end of the month if the Republicans extend the subsidies that were first used in 2021, and a year later when they checked the congress and the White House. Without the tax credits, health insurance costs will escalate for millions next year. The Congress budget office estimated that the number of people without insurance would escalate by 2.2 million in 2026 and 3.7 million the following year if the congress did not act.
While Schumer and Jeffries have threatened a closure, other Democrats say that they could support a “clean” draft law that would continue the ongoing expenses as long as they were insured by republicans about health care and other democratic priorities.
