Youngstown, Ohio (Wkbn) – Former congressor Tim Ryan is still considering a run for the governor of Ohio, but according to a spokesman he needs “a few additional days” to make his decision.
Dennis Willard, a spokesman for Tim Ryan, published a statement to Nexstars WKBN on Tuesday that he is the best candidate to beat Republican candidates Vivek Ramaswamy:
“Tim Ryan looks at the enormous way this choice will affect our large state. He will need a few more days to make his decision. Tim believes that he is the strongest candidate who defeats Vivek. He is thrilled what he could bring together as a governor to bring all Ohioan together and will soon have a decision,” says the statement.
Ryan represented the Youngstown area in the US representative house for 20 years. He currently lives in the Columbus region and is a consultant for various companies.
Ryan’s last undertaking in politics was in 2022 when he Lost the US Senate race in Ohio against the Republican JD Vance, who received the confirmation of Donald Trump. Trump has already supported Vivek Ramaswamy for the governor.
Dr. Amy Acton, the former director of the Ministry of Health in Ohio, during the Covid 19 pandemic, runs as a democrat and has recorded a variety of notes in the race.
