Recently, there have been some horrific cases in the news of murders allegedly committed by illegal immigrants, including that of 37-year-old mother of five Rachel Morin and that of 12-year-old Jocelyn Nungaray.
In Morin’s case, the suspect allegedly “entered the United States illegally three times within two months and was kicked out – before apparently evading agents on the fourth attempt.”
In the case of Jocelyn Nungaray, two illegal immigrants from Venezuela were arrested in connection with her murder by strangulation. However, if you only read the AP report, you may not know that they were illegal immigrants because AP did not mention it.
The suspected murderers of 12-year-old Jocelyn Nungaray have just been arrested in Houston. They are from Venezuela.
Take a moment to listen to Jocelyn’s mother express her grief over the loss of her daughter. Feel her pain, her sadness, her helplessness.
That could be any of us.

Of course, this has led to further backlash against Joe Biden for his failure to secure the border over the past three-plus years. From the first day he entered the Oval Office, he has undone everything that former President Donald Trump had put in place, with little regard for what it might mean for the safety of Americans.
He then denied there was a problem until this January, when the story suddenly changed. Then he said: Biden has always tried to solve the problem, but it is the Republicans who do not want to solve it. It is Trump who is standing in the way. This was absurd nonsense, because this was one of the main concerns of Trump’s presidency.
The White House has now issued statements on the murders of Morin and Nungaray. But these statements are so pro forma and brief. If the White House wanted to do just the bare minimum, it would look like this:

Also, notice how similar they are. Someone has inserted the same format and changed the names, but the last two paragraphs are essentially the same.
In the case of Rachel Morin:
“We extend our deepest condolences to Rachel Morin’s family and loved ones. We cannot comment on ongoing law enforcement cases. But fundamentally, we believe that people should be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law when they are found guilty.”
Regarding Jocelyn Nungaray:
Our deepest condolences go out to the family and loved ones of Jocelyn Nungaray. We cannot comment on ongoing prosecutions, but fundamentally, anyone found guilty of such a heinous and shocking crime should be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law.
Could you try even less and show how little it means to you?
Of course, nowhere is there any acknowledgement of responsibility for the breach of the border and the problem of these illegal immigrants entering the country. This would require genuine concern and a desire to protect Americans. Unfortunately, this is lacking in Joe Biden, as we can see from these meaningless statements that are not even presented as if they came from him.
And may I point out how wrong it is that he doesn’t comment on ongoing law enforcement cases? He and his team have spoken out many times about the lawfare actions against former President Donald Trump, so this is just an excuse when it comes to those cases because they don’t want to take any blame.
But if there is one example of how different Biden is from Trump, it is the Morin case. Trump called Rachel Morin’s mother to offer his condolences and she was very grateful. Biden has once again disappeared without a trace.
