WASHINGTON (AP) — The White House on Friday joined Bluesky, the social media platform of choice for many in the left-leaning online world.

In its opening post, the White House account offered a roundup of the administration’s memes, trolls and messages from the nine months since President Donald Trump returned to office. The post seemed aimed at comforting liberals who aren’t fans of the Republican president.

The first post included mentions of the government’s executive order renaming the Gulf of Mexico, a doctored image of Democratic House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries wearing a sombrero with a fraudulent mustache, and a series of photos and videos from other gigantic moments early in Trump’s second term.

“What’s wrong, Bluesky?” the White House said in a message accompanying the video. “We thought you might have missed some of our biggest hits, so we put this together for you. I can’t wait to spend more quality time together!”

Disgruntled X users flocked to Bluesky after billionaire Elon Musk took over Twitter (now known as X) in 2022, and the platform reported a surge in fresh users slow last year.

It remains miniature compared to more established online spaces like X, but has become an alternative for those looking for a different vibe.

The Department of Health and Human Services and the Department of Homeland Security also opened Bluesky accounts on Friday.

Vice President JD Vance joined Bluesky in June.

Trump’s favorite social media platform is Truth Social. Trump is the largest shareholder in Trump Media & Technology Group, the company that owns Truth Social.
