BEST MORNING

Pro-Hamas agitators moan like little children when the Jews they attack turn the tables

Faced with a heightened awareness that no one is coming to save them, Jews in Los Angeles and elsewhere are increasingly taking the initiative to protect their lives and their synagogues.

Another one bites the dust: Adam Carolla calls Newsom a “slippery eel of nothingness” as he leaves California

As Adam Carolla begins a fresh chapter outside of California, his story is a powerful reminder of the profound impact government and politics can have on people’s lives and choices.

HOT SHOTS: Joe Biden told to sit down after Whopper covers women’s rights and Trump

The Biden campaign’s push for female voters comes at a time when polling averages over a six-month period show Biden’s support among women withering so sharply that it’s giving him nightmares.

WHAT IS ON OFFER?

Today on Capitol Hill…

Nevertheless, it is a serene week for the animals, only two meetings are scheduled for Tuesday:

  • House Rules – Appropriations for Homeland Security, Department of Defense and Department of State, Foreign Operations and Related Programs
  • House Energy and Commerce — Review of anti-doping measures in the run-up to the 2024 Olympic Games

White House, what’s going on

President Joe Biden is still holed up at Camp Debate Prep as anticipation builds for Thursday’s face-off with former President Donald Trump, which reminds me I need to stock up on popcorn and booze.

Full speed ahead…

The prosecution and Trump’s defense are back in court in the Southern District of Florida today to argue another motion before Judge Aileen Cannon. This is Trump’s motion for relief related to the Mar-a-Lago raid and wrongful violation of attorney-client privilege, and it will no doubt be fascinating. Unfortunately, parts of it are under seal due to grand jury secrecy and information that is/should be protected by attorney-client privilege. Rest assured, however, that we will report on anything notable from today’s hearing, including any arguments the attorneys had with the judge.

Of highest importance

More primaries on Tuesday: We’ve got Colorado, New York, Utah and a Republican runoff in South Carolina’s third congressional district. Speaking of popcorn, you might want some for tonight’s results (though it may be August for New York before there are final results). We’ll bring you those live results, too.

MORNING THOUGHTS

I’m not going to lie: I feel like a kid in a candy store this week between the hearings on the classified documents case, the debate, and three days of the Supreme Court ruling. Forgive me if I’m a bit scatterbrained (more so than usual). It’s a lot to process.

LIGHTER FOOD

Greetings to STL!
