Although Donald Trump campaigned Rock Across Georgia, uncertainty has reigned for the past three months over the case brought against him by controversial Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis (D) and whether he will face trial before the 2024 presidential election.
At least for the moment, this case is on hold, thanks to a ruling by the Georgia Court of Appeals in early June that effectively “[stayed] further proceedings on the matter pending the outcome of the appeal,” Trump filed suit challenging Judge Scott McAfee’s decision not to dismiss Willis from the case while lead prosecutor Nathan Wade resigned from the case.
This has undoubtedly dealt a severe blow to the Democrats’ lawfare plan against Trump.

So with the case out of sight and out of mind for now, the former US president has one less distraction ahead of the highly anticipated debate between him and President Joe Biden, which will take place next Thursday in Atlanta, Georgia and be moderated by CNN.
Trump will be well-equipped for the debate, thanks in part to Snopes’ long-overdue fact-check of the seven-year-old lie perpetuated by the media and Democrats that the people are “very fine people” – a lie with which Joe Biden began his 2020 campaign – and also thanks to a recent poll from the Peach State that shows Trump ahead of Biden – it is already the fifth such poll in five weeks to put him clearly in the lead:

The Republicans in the state have was rapid to put an end to the claim that the dynamics of the 2024 race in Georgia are the same as in behind schedule 2020/early 2021:
At the state level, Republicans say Georgia is still trending toward them. Yes, Democrats have won Georgia four times nationwide, starting with Biden in 2020, continuing with Jon Ossoff and Warnock, who Twin victories in a 2021 runoff election that gave Democrats control of the U.S. Senate and culminated in Warnock’s re-election in 2022. But GOP Governor Brian Kemp won a second term as governor in 2022 against the Democrat Stacy Abrams by a comfortable leadand thereby eliminated the lower elected offices.
Regardless, Republicans in Georgia – as in North Carolina – can no longer simply assume that they have already secured the election. They must fight like mad for every vote and cannot take a single voting bloc for granted. A strategy that seems to be paying off so far if you take the poll numbers as a reliable indicator.
