Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert of Colorado has had a gritty year. After narrowly missing a win in 2022, she went through a very public and humiliating divorce and subsequently underwent emergency surgery to remove a blood clot. When Boebert decided to move to Colorado’s 4th Congressional District to run for retiring Rep. Ken Buck’s seat, many saw it as an act of desperation and perhaps an admission that her congressional career was over. But it seems Boebert’s political instincts hit the nail on the head. In a crowded field of Republican candidates, Boebert won Tuesday’s primary.
