Does Joe Biden suffer from dementia? This question is a major concern for the White House. Politico now provides modern evidence that the president’s health is not what he claims to be.
For years, it has been claimed that Biden is an absolute workhorse behind closed doors, despite his public bouts of senility. White House coffee boy Andrew Bates recently reinforced this narrative by claiming that the president has such stamina that his staff cannot keep up.

The problem with this claim is that it is so obviously nonsense. Biden is clearly Sundowning, and if this quote from Politico is true, then the cause clearly seems to be dementia.

In meetings with staff who compile the official briefings for Biden, some senior officials have sometimes gone to great lengths to carefully curate the information presented to avoid negative reactions.
“It’s like saying, ‘You can’t mention that, it’ll upset him,’ or ‘Record that, he likes that,'” said one senior administration official. “It’s a Rorschach test, not a briefing. Because he’s not a pleasant person to brief. It’s very difficult and people are terrified of him.”
Anyone who has ever had to deal with someone suffering from dementia knows the Symptomsand the need to curate information in a way that avoids enraged, irrational outbursts is a telltale sign. “Put that in, he likes that,” said one senior official, as if they were talking about a child. This is insane and stands in stark contrast to Bates’ laughably false claims.
Add that to leaks from White House aides saying Biden is only largely functional between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., and the picture becomes a little clearer. He is in the sundowning phase, has to be led around in public by handlers, And can’t control his emotions, even in situations where one would expect peaceful discourse. Call it a coincidence, but all of these things point to the president being demented. It just makes too much sense.

This level of chaos is simply not something an already risky re-election campaign can afford. The slander has begun, and once that starts, it’s tough to get everyone back in line. When White House officials are constantly leaking incriminating information, it’s a sign that things are out of control. Moreover, as the Politico article explains, there’s little reason to believe there will be a change in strategy because Biden’s inner circle is so diminutive and insular. Jill Biden, Hunter Biden, and a few top advisers are calling the shots, and their thirst for power clouds any rationality about the situation.
Like I said, there’s no way out of this. There’s no saving grace politically appearing on a white horse on the horizon. This is the president and he’s the Democratic nominee. I know there’s been some suggestion that Republicans will regret that Biden’s probable dementia was revealed because he could then be replaced, but that’s so unlikely that it’s not a solemn cause for concern. Unless the president voluntarily retires, which would also mean leaving office (because you can’t be too senile to run for re-election but OK to finish a term), there’s no way to replace him.
The collapse has begun and it will not be a pretty sight.
