Joe Biden’s quest for a second term seems to be getting more and more unsettled by the hour, as more and more Democratic lawmakers are calling on the dazed and confused president to drop out of the race.

Now a fifth Democrat in the House of Representatives has called on Biden to withdraw from the legislative session. In her statement, she said: Why is the best I have read so far. Minnesota Representative Angie Craig said in a statement to X:

As an elected official, I feel an obligation to be straightforward about what I believe, even when it’s demanding to hear. President Biden is a good man and I appreciate his lifelong commitment. But I believe he should make way for the next generation of leaders. There’s too much at stake.

Craig said much more.

Although I cannot distinguish Angie Craig from Adam – or rather from Eve – I feel that her detailed statement, although of course partisan, goes beyond other statements we have read so far, which obviously had no other purpose than to save the author’s political skin – and to issue theatrical warnings against a second Trump presidency.

I have enormous respect for President Biden’s decades of service to our country and his unwavering commitment to making our country a better place. I have worked with the President and members of both parties to pass crucial legislation…and I was proud that the President signed my bill – capping insulin costs at $35/month for seniors, expanding mental health support for police officers and their families, and investing more resources to address the fentanyl crisis at the southern border.

I agreed with her to a certain extent, until the last line. Then she got back on track.

However, given what I saw and heard from the President during the debate in Atlanta last week, and the fact that he did not offer a forceful response from himself following the debate, I do not believe the President can win the election against Donald Trump.

This was not an simple decision for me to make, but the stakes are simply too high to risk a second Donald Trump presidency. That is why I respectfully ask President Biden to step down as the Democratic nominee for a second term and make way for a recent generation of leaders.

Craig said the Democratic Party is brimming with “an extraordinary number of talented leaders” that I’ve somehow overlooked. She believes now is the time to “initiate an open, fair and transparent democratic process to select a new candidate who can inspire and unite our great nation.”

Biden is decimated by reactions to the Trainwreck interview – the picture that says it all

Watch while every candidate except Biden or Harris would likely “inspire and unite” the Democratic Party, It is more than an illusion to believe that any candidate of today’s Democratic Party could inspire and unite this deeply divided country.

Craig concluded her statement with the obligatory dig at Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans, but also with a reality that the Democratic Party also faces.

If we truly believe that Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans must be stopped, we have only a tiny window of opportunity to ensure that we have a candidate who is best placed to represent his cause and win. The future of the country is more crucial than any of us. From now on, it’s up to the president.

Yes, it’s up to Biden from now on. Although it’s unlikely, let’s hope he stays the course.

Yes, Rep. Angie Craig is partisan, as all politicians are. But she was reasonable compared to other Democrats and their over-the-top nonsense about the evils of Donald Trump and the horrors of what he would do to America if he won a second term.

We have now become aware of the reality of Joe Biden’s complete cognitive collapse.
