OPINION: What did the Department of Education just say in an official email to all student loan holders?

What do you call unsolicited political propaganda sent to the mailbox of every single college student with a loan, regardless of where they live or what political party they belong to? An appropriate term would be harassment, and it should be illegal.

It is reported that the Ministry of Education, an official branch of our government, all Citizen, has merely used his email list as Biden’s personal campaign trail.

Students report receiving a lengthy email informing them that large, bad Republicans are “siding with special interests and trying to deny Americans access to all the benefits of the cheapest student loan repayment plan ever.” In other words, Republicans are attacking students everywhere, and Biden and Democrats are fighting to save the day:

The subject of the email reads informatively and like an official statement: “The recent decisions of the Federal Court on the subject of ‘Savings in an income-based repayment plan for valuable education.’”

The wording of the email, however, was alarmist and accusatory, twice accusing Republicans of “siding with special interests” and twice accusing them of “blocking” financial aid to students. [emphasis added]

“While we disagree with the efforts of Republican officials here, Taking sides with special interests And Block borrowers President Biden and our administration will not stop fighting to ensure Americans have affordable access to the life-changing opportunities that a college education can provide, and they will continue to fight to ensure Americans do not get a reprieve from repaying their student loans.”

The email comes just one day after the assassination attempt on presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump. Trump’s victory in November was already expected, but the attempt on his life has only immortalized it even more. The left’s desperate attempt in the email is obvious.

It begs the question how this can be acceptable or even legal. These are the same people who don’t allow prayer in schools because it could potentially offend people of other faiths, but when it suits their interests they will exploit an official government agency to send a harassing email to students on both sides of the political spectrum.

What we have seen from the Democrats is a brazen abuse of power, using branches of our government (like the Department of Justice and now the Department of Energy) as their own political arm to advance their own interests. And Trump is the threat to democracy? This email is an intrusion on students’ rights and privileges to go to school and take out student loans without affiliation with a particular political party or exposure to its propaganda. It is shameful, disrespectful, and should be illegal.

Miguel Cardona, the Secretary of Education who signed this letter, has overstepped his bounds and disrespected the students he claims to represent. He should not be in a position where he makes decisions for our students. If he does this publicly to advance his political agenda, what else has he done to put the education of our students second and the interests of his party first?
