WATCH: Trump Force One lands in Milwaukee as indomitable former president prepares for RNC convention

On Saturday, an assassin attempted to kill Donald Trump. On Sunday, he played a round of golf and then flew to Milwaukee, the site of the Republican Nation Committee convention, which is scheduled to begin on Monday. No comment needed, it speaks for itself.

After the cruel assassination, the former president initially decided change his plans. “I was going to postpone my trip to Wisconsin and the Republican National Convention for two days, but just decided I can’t let a ‘shooter’ or potential assassin force changes to the schedule or anything else,” he wrote on his Truth Social site on Sunday. But then he changed his mind:

He seemed to be in good shape as he climbed the steps of his Boeing 757.

All eyes will be on the former president as he is expected to deliver a major speech in the coming days, announce his running mate and formally accept the Republican presidential nomination. Scheduled speakers The candidates include several high-ranking senators such as Senators Ron Johnson (R-WI), Tom Cotton (R-AR) and Ted Cruz (R-TX), Speaker of the House Mike Johnson (R-LA), former Fox News host Tucker Carlson, CEO of Turning Point USA Charlie Kirk, country musician Lee Greenwood, and businessman and former presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy. Also of note are two of Trump’s biggest rivals for the nomination – the governor of Florida. Spectators and visitors will be paying particular attention to Trump’s physical appearance, considering he was nearly killed just Saturday. According to initial reports, he is doing well:

Meanwhile, Joe Biden has delivered two speeches to the nation since Trump’s assassination. While he blamed the toxic political environment for what happened, he failed to shift the blame to his own divisive, inflammatory rhetoric, in which he regularly said that half of America was hell-bent on destroying the nation and that Trump was an existential threat to democracy. Those are hardly the kinds of words that composed tempers.
