When a high-profile mass murder occurs, there seems to be an immediate race to identify the shooter, determine his motive and often also find out which political party he belongs to.
The Trump assassination was no exception. They immediately had people investigate the background of the shooter, who was identified as Thomas Matthew Crooks. And they knew they would hear bad Democratic opinions on the subject. I wrote before about one of those opinions, which came from a staffer for Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-MS).
But apparently Democratic Rep. Eric Swalwell decided he wanted to contribute to the bad/misleading findings of the day.
“I don’t know why a Republican would try to kill his party’s nominee with an assault rifle,” Swalwell posted.
“But it is wrong. Violence was never the answer. Violence is not the answer. Violence will never be the answer.”
It is true that the suspected shooter was reportedly registered as a Republican. But Swalwell leaves out two crucial pieces of information. First, that the suspected shooter A donation was reportedly made via ActBlue on Inauguration Day, January 20, 2021. ActBlue is an online service that raises money for democratic causes. He donated to the Progressive Turnout Project.
Today you can hear in the mainstream media that the failed assassin was a “registered Republican.”
The truth is that on the day of Biden’s inauguration, he donated through ActBlue to the Progressive Turnout Project, whose goal is entirely to “get Democrats to vote.”

That certainly doesn’t sound very republican.
It’s also common practice to change party registrations to influence the opposing party’s race. We saw this happen, for example, with Democrats voting for Nikki Haley to garner votes that weren’t intended for Trump. So the registration probably means absolutely nothing.
Of course, Swalwell doesn’t say that. Why tell the whole truth when it might destroy the story you want to sell against Republicans?
But the Americans were not shy and praised Swalwell’s performance, and he was rewarded with a hefty penalty. Our friends on our sister site Twitchy pointed out some of the answers.

But all these attempts at diversion cannot change the fact that it is the Democrats, including Joe Biden, who have stepped up the attacks on Trump to demonize and dehumanize him as an existential “threat.” The internet is forever, and they cannot erase everything they have done.
