Steve Garvey destroys Adam Schiff and says turning against Biden shows ‘selfish desperation’

California Republican Senate candidate and former Dodgers baseball legend Steve Garvey sharply criticized his opponent, unethically questionable Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff, for turning against President Biden shortly after praising his leadership and cognitive abilities. Schiff saw that Biden’s difficulties since the debate disaster were damaging his own prospects, so he did what any shameless opportunist would do – he abandoned ship on Wednesday and called on Biden to abandon his campaign.

Garvey lay on him:

“Adam Schiff’s latest act of selfish desperation to abandon his presidential candidate has provoked a clear reaction from his supporters on social media,” said Garvey, who Republican candidate who is vying for the seat vacated by the slow Dianne Feinstein, told Fox News Digital. “It is now clear to his supporters what has been clear to millions of Americans for years: that Adam Schiff only cares about Adam Schiff and that Californians deserve a senator who will put them above politics.”

“Adam Schiff only cares about Adam Schiff.” I have to say, that was no routine single – that was a home run.

In less than a year, we have overtaken Adams’ 28-year political machine, and we will not sluggish down our momentum until we win in November.

Not surprisingly, Schiff did not call for Biden’s resignation on principle or because it was best for the country. No, the devious congressman from Burbank was only interested in fundraising.

“It’s understandable that they felt they had to take dramatic action when this news came out,” he said. [Garvey] added: “When Adam Schiff announced that he believed President Biden should not run for re-election, it dominated the day’s news cycle and helped, in part, bury our fundraising track record.”

Between April 1 and June 30, Garvey reportedly raised $5.4 million, while Schiff raised $4.1 million.

Until recently, Schiff had sought to mislead the American public about Biden’s cognitive health and pillory anyone who thought the president was compromised, so his reversal is tough to understand.

The substantial lie about Biden’s mental health was already crumbling then, but its desperate defenders still held the fort. Not anymore.

Garvey asked perhaps the most vital question for the future: If all these Democrats are calling on Biden to abandon his campaign because he is compromised, how the hell can he continue to govern the country?

Garvey faces a tough time beating Schiff, who, despite his duplicity, inexplicably has fans here in the Golden State. But as Jim Carrey said in Dumb and Dumber, “So you’re telling me there’s a chance?!”

Given the crazy political reality in California, we have only one chance right now. Garvey’s fundraising numbers are a positive sign, and he is absolutely right about Schiff. If he continues to expose Schiff for the charlatan he is, perhaps his prospects will improve even further.
