National Ice Cream Day 2024 on Sunday will go down in history as the day President Joe Biden announced he was suspending his campaign. It’s very fitting: A man who LOVES ice cream suffers from a cognitive disease that turns his brain into molten mush. It’s also fitting because of the chaos that is his presidency, coupled with the sticky collapse of the Democratic Party because he not only resigned for 2024, but also quickly nominated his vice president, Kamala Harris, to succeed him. Things are falling apart faster than Rocky Road on sizzling asphalt.

But Republicans will have to continue to be extra cautious and work even harder to win this election. The 2020 campaign still looms over the world like a shadow, and many of its issues have never been addressed by either party. Melted ice cream is sticky, slippery, and once it dries, it’s extremely hard to remove the caked-on gunk from fabric. You think ice cream is just melted liquid, but in reality it’s a protein stain that, once embedded in fabric, refuses to be removed. A bit like the Democratic Party. So it’s going to take some scrubbing and stain remover to wash the legacy of Biden and the Democratic Party out of the fabric of our nation. The first step is not letting them win. The same Democratic voter mobilization apparatus as in 2020 and 2022 is still in place, coupled with the cooperation of entertainment and customary media. Notice how quickly California Rep. Nancy Pelosi stepped in and played Don Corleone. Apparently she made Biden an offer he couldn’t refuse. Pelosi has done her job protecting those in power and the power process. Even more obvious is that it doesn’t matter who the actual nominee will be. The party’s end goal is to stay in power. The nominee is merely a means to achieve that. So don’t confuse disorder and jockeying with utter confusion and lack of an end goal. As the saying goes, a dog is most risky when cornered and hurt.
Which brings us to presumptive but unconfirmed nominee Kamala Harris. For all the ambitious words and language used to prop her up, she has a record as dismal as Joe Biden at this point, if not worse. The anointed “border czar” has done nothing for the southern border. In 2020, then-Senator and vice presidential candidate Harris was the biggest advocate of the violence and chaos that summer. As BLM activists and rioters set Minneapolis/St. Paul on fire, Harris tweeted this gem. It’s amazing she didn’t delete it, because it’s damning.

Communications Director Greg Price has laid out exactly who was supported by this bail fund, a fund that used the Democrats’ ActBlue campaign apparatus to funnel the money through.

– A man is accused of attacking an elderly lady during a break-in at her home.
– A man is accused of robbing his victim and trampling on his head
Let’s not forget that Harris was critical of the Minnesota police who shot and killed knife-wielding rapist, child abductor, and repeat offender Jacob Blake. Harris even visited him in the hospital and said she was “proud” of him.
Do you see a pattern here?
But among Vice President Kamala Harris’ most egregious acts, which should forever disqualify her from being an elected official, let alone President of the United States, is that Harris was fully complicit in the White House and media cover-up of Biden’s cognitive decline. Since Biden’s disastrous performance at the June debate, Harris has continued to be a team player, claiming Joe is at his best and fooling the American people into believing he is capable of leading and that all is well with her campaign.

Now that Biden will have only one term as president, we are already seeing his “legacy” being burnished. We are also seeing the promotion of Kamala Harris, who is appeasing Democratic donors and, as my colleague Margaret Clark reported, has filed a petition with the FEC to replace Biden at the top of the ballot box. And those who know the destruction she has caused in California are also speaking out. So while Harris works to bolster her throne, those opposed to her not making it to the highest office will continue to stoke fire. However, if Harris does not end up being the nominee—and there is still a forceful possibility that could happen—a lot of ammunition and fire will have been wasted. The collapse of the Democratic Party is critical and must be just as much of a focus. So Republicans must find a way to encourage that destabilization while shoring up and fighting their electoral apparatus to win the presidency. That is the only way we can remove this massive stain of dried ice cream.
