As the 2024 presidential election cycle continues to spiral into hypocritical absurdity, with the cognitively empty Joe Biden self-immolating by the nanosecond and the left desperately trying to pull out all the stops Stop Trump A surprising voice is heard from the lapdog media making a surprising admission.
The haughty CNN anchor Fareed Zakaria actually suggested on this week’s gripping episode of “GPS Sunday” that the criminal hush-money allegations against former President Donald Trump in New York City were politically motivated.
Who knew? Except we all, I mean.
In his Opening monologueZakaria postulated that criminal charges would not have been filed against Trump if he wasn’t Trump. He also argued that the Democratic Party is fractured and that everything they accuse Trump of is only making the Republican Party more unified. Both positions were of course correct.
Trump is now leading in almost all swing states, but these numbers hide even more worrying details. As I worry about Trump’s prospects for a second term, I think it’s best to be sincere about reality.
I understand that polls are not always right, but in general they tend to underestimate rather than overestimate support for Donald Trump. I doubt there are many shy Biden voters in the country.
I know right? Who is this guy and what did he do to Fareed Zakaria?

To further suspend his disbelief, Zakaria also lamented the contrast between the growing division in the Democratic Party and the comparative unity among Republicans.
That cannot be denied [Democratic] The party appears to be more openly divided than it has been in decades. Only 33 percent of Americans said they approved of Biden’s handling of the Israel-Hamas war, which is now opposed both by people who think he is too supple on Israel and by people who think he is too tough on Israel .
Ahh, Fareed, you really don’t understand, do you? Here’s the thing:
If everything you support or oppose can be tied to the ballot box with no more than three points, you Get what you can get now in the Democratic Party.
Worse, if you (Joe Biden) play both sides against the middle and foolishly try to make “everyone” elated, you will end up succeeding nobody elated. Joe Biden and his handlers have no beliefs whatsoever other than doing what they think must do win.
The confused host continued, noting in a #duh moment:
Republicans appear to be uniting behind Trump. The resistance he faced in the primaries has largely disappeared. And the trials against him keep him in the spotlight, enrage his supporters who view him as a martyr, and may even serve to make him the object of some sympathy among people in general who believe his prosecutors are politically motivated. This happens to be true.
Let’s abandon the “martyr mentality” argument, even if it would be tantamount to denying reality to pretend it doesn’t exist. Instead, let’s just flip the script and get into it a little Whataboutism.
If Joe Biden – or every democrat – was subjected somewhere near The extent of the political persecution weighed more heavily on Donald Trump eight years, What would the reaction have been on the left? Yes, a rhetorical question.
To his credit, Zakaria finished the race strongly.
In my opinion, I doubt that the New York indictment would have been brought against a defendant whose name was not Donald Trump. A majority of Americans are skeptical that Trump will get a fair trial, according to a CNN poll.
Memo to Fareed Zakaria: No need to “doubt it”, buddy, you can take it to the left bank.
