There was so much wrong with the way the Secret Service provided security for former President Donald Trump at his rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. It was a colossal failure, with Trump being grazed in the ear, Corey Comperatore killed, and two other men injured. It was so bad that even Democrats on the House Oversight Committee cross-examined Secret Service chief Kimberly Cheatle earlier this week; she was forced to resign under pressure.
But in this case, up-to-date, potentially incriminating information keeps emerging.
The latest information comes from whistleblowers who said local law enforcement repeatedly offered the Secret Service the opportunity to operate drones at the Butler rally – but the Secret Service refused:
NEW:
“According to a source, the night before the rally, U.S. intelligence repeatedly rejected offers from a local law enforcement partner to use drone technology to protect the rally.”

This is concerning and needs to be followed up. The Secret Service reportedly did not have its own drones operating over the site—the only drone reported so far was from the shooter, Thomas Crooks. As we previously reported, requests from the Trump department for more resources were denied, and there were reports that resources were allocated to Jill Biden’s dinner instead of the much larger rally, and that Jill Biden had 12 post standers available while Trump got three. This was crazy considering the potential threats to Trump and the size of the rally.

In addition, there is reportedly up-to-date information about the shooter and possibly his motive.
As our sister site Townhall explainedGab founder and CEO Andrew Torba said he had received a request from law enforcement regarding the shooter’s possible account on the website.
You can see some of the posts that Torba says are questionable:
NEW: Thomas Matthew Crooks published nine posts on Gab supporting President Biden, the COVID lockdowns and Biden’s border policy, according to Gab founder Andrew Torba (@BasedTorba).

The account, whose authenticity Torba did not confirm, posted on the site nine times but has not posted anything since 2021:
🚨About 30 minutes ago, Gab learned that Thomas Crooks, the crazed Joe Biden supporter who attempted to assassinate President Donald Trump, may have had an account on our platform. We cannot confirm that the account in question actually belonged to him.

Although the account made very few posts on the site, most of them were pro-President Biden. Several posts specifically expressed support for President Biden’s COVID lockdowns, border policies, and executive orders. We retained the account information pending receipt of a search warrant.
Torba said he was announcing that the shooter appeared to be a Biden supporter – and that doing so was taking a “personal and business risk” because the public and media did not want this to come to airy:
We are releasing this information at significant personal and business risk. If history is any guide, we are bucking the consensus in Washington by releasing the first clear evidence that the shooter was a Biden supporter – something that Democrats and their media allies have tried to cover up…

He said he had faced disturbing investigations in the past.
Here are the contributions:

He stated that he had received an urgent request for disclosure:
A little more context: We know about this because we received an urgent disclosure request from a law enforcement agency.

That would fit with the $15 donation we already knew about through ActBlue to a progressive cause. But that certainly won’t lend a hand the left’s “he’s a Republican” narrative if that’s true.
