Given all the questions about Joe Biden’s health over the past three and a half years – including his two bouts of Covid – you would think we would have heard something from his doctor, Dr. Kevin O’Connor, during all that time.
But no. The Biden team seems to have gone out of its way to avoid questioning him or having him appear in a briefing before reporters. They’re trying to stall them with a few written statements that don’t necessarily answer people’s questions. So much for transparency.
White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre even said Biden’s health was fine just before he gave his official speech on Wednesday “explaining why he’s dropping out,” which turned out to be anything but a correct explanation.

Somehow, however, someone made a mistake, because Steven Nelson of the NY Post was able to track down O’Connor as he walked along the driveway in front of the White House. He was able to some questions about Biden. If you talk about a crazy guy with evasive answers, that was O’Connor.
Nelson initially asked if he was actually O’Connor, since reporters had never spoken to him.

O’Connor replied in a sing-song voice, “I don’t know, I don’t know,” before admitting that he was indeed the doctor.
Nelson asked how Biden’s health was. O’Connor seemed to have swallowed the arguments.
“It’s excellent,” O’Connor insisted with a smile.
“Will you come to the conference room to speak to us?” the Post asked.
“Probably not,” replied O’Connor, who was never allowed to brief the press during Biden’s more than three years in office – although previous presidential doctors have answered questions during health crises.
“Could this change before the end of his term?” the journalist asked.
“I hope not,” said O’Connor… [….]
“And what about his mental capacity?” asked the post.
“It’s excellent,” insisted the smiling doctor.
“Is there a reason why you didn’t give him a cognitive test?” the reporter pressed.
“We don’t need that. He’s here every day,” O’Connor claimed.
He almost mocks reporters when, when asked if he will speak to them in the future, he answers “probably not” and, when asked if anything could change in this regard before the end of his term, “I hope not.”
So much for his opinion when he simply parrots Biden’s excuses for not taking a cognitive test. He, like everyone else, seems to want us to ignore the evidence of our own eyes. And what does that say about him if he won’t admit there’s a problem?
Nelson asked if Biden had seen the specialist who had experience with Parkinson’s, but O’Connor said he did not have Parkinson’s-related disease. O’Connor said he had been to the specialist three times, I believe he was referring to his three annual checkups.
O’Connor is, of course, also described as a friend of the family, as someone who was Biden’s doctor for years and even a business partner of Jim Biden.

Does anyone seriously believe that Biden has “outstanding” mental acuity?
But if that’s true, why is he dropping out of the race? Biden can’t have it both ways.
