MSNBC and CNN should serve as examples of what a news channel should not be, because they only stage moments that would be incredibly embarrassing if their anchors and guests were capable of shame.
Author and MSNBC contributor Molly Jong-Fast has decided to do what everyone on the left is doing right now, which is to speak out about JD Vance, who I assume they view as Trump’s weakest link, largely because they’ve convinced themselves he is.
While discussing JD Vance’s stance on “childless cat ladies,” a term the left clutches like a life preserver as it watches its ship sink, Jong-Fast put her two cents in.
She portrayed Vance as a man who wanted “only white children” in the country and said he was part of the theory of the “great replacement,” the idea that the government was trying to replace white Americans with foreigners in order to make whites a minority or eradicate them altogether.
The point is to portray Vance as a white supremacist driven by conspiracy theories.
🚨 UNHINGED: MSDNC Contributor @MollyJongFast says JD Vance only wants “white children” in America – like @politico White House Chief @JonLemire sits next to her and refuses to correct her.

There is just one very obvious and glaring problem with Jong-Fast’s interpretation of Vance.
Vance is married to an ethnic Indian woman named Usha Chilukuri. He married her in a multi-faith ceremony where they were married by a Christian priest and then blessed by a Hindu minister.
They had three children, all half white and half Indian.

When Vance is worried about the great replacement, he shows it in a comical way.
I’m not sure if Jong-Fast even stopped to check if what she was saying was true, or if she did and didn’t care. The prevailing myth that Republicans, or even conservatives in general, are all racists who hate anyone who doesn’t look like them is something that simmers deep in the brain of every diehard leftist.
Even if Jong-Fast or any of the MSNBC hosts and contributors (who apparently didn’t stop and correct her) saw that Vance wasn’t actually a white supremacist, they would win gold medals with their Olympic mental gymnastics to keep that myth in their heads. No matter what, the “JD Vance is a racist” narrative cannot die.
A vast part of the Democrats’ platform revolves around portraying their opponents as racists. Without this, they don’t have much.

This is a very embarrassing moment for MSNBC, and if their mission was to portray Vance as a unsafe person that people should avoid, they ultimately just proved that MSNBC is not a real news network. It is Democrat fanfiction.
