Republicans must make clear the Democrats’ bad policies and how those policies, including economic and border issues, have harmed Americans.
But they should also be aware of how far removed they are from reality and that they are the ones who are turning all norms on their head.
We’re seeing this again now at the debates, as all the Democrats are trying to exploit Kamala Harris’ refusal to debate former President Donald Trump on Fox. I understand they have a bad candidate, much like Biden; they can’t hide her in the basement and hope to get anywhere, but that’s what they’re trying to do. There are no votes from the people in the primaries, she’s not answering questions or giving interviews. Harris is getting by with the support of the media because she has such sedate weaknesses.

Trump agrees to debate Kamala Harris – but on his terms
But the Democrats, with the support of their supporters in the media, are trying to manipulate the situation as best they can, and in response they are confronted with reality:
Donald Trump cowardly withdraws from the debate he agreed to. A debate that was just like the one in June. Now he seems comfortable only in his cocoon as he asks his favorite network, Fox, to host a Trump rally and call it a debate. Maybe he can only debate with someone his own age.

So Trump is too afraid to face Kamala in a neutral setting that he previously agreed to, essentially admitting that to take on her he needs the support of two Fox anchors and the entire network.
Do you know what this is?
It is feeble.— Neera Tanden🌻 (@neerateren) 3 August 2024
Trump went into unfriendly territory like CNN and the NABJ event. He constantly goes into liberal media arenas. He beat Biden on CNN so soundly that Democrats pulled Biden out of the race and then attacked democracy by replacing him with Kamala Harris – who didn’t even get a vote from the people – before she was “crowned” the nominee.
The media also participated intensively in the spin campaign.
Trump proposes moving up the debates, Biden agrees. Trump becomes the dog that catches the car when Biden performs so disastrously that it ends his own campaign and Harris is expected to become the nominee. Now he is withdrawing from the ABC debate that was agreed upon with Biden. NYT: https://t.co/wbVWOoZaYg

Um, no, that’s trying to rewrite history. Biden suggested moving up the debates because he was doing so poorly in the polls; he tried to rewrite the script. It didn’t work. Then he was the one who not only dropped out of the second debate, he was pushed out of the race:
Trump has not “agreed” to a debate. He is withdrawing from the agreed debate and counterproposing another one on his terms. https://t.co/wqfPAoDQ6A

Fox offered the debate and Trump accepted.
Why is Kamala not willing to participate in the Fox debate? She has shown that she does not want to even get on warm terms with the NABJ. But she is not willing to speak “anytime, anywhere.”
Speaking of weakness, if they want to abide by the terms of the agreement, they need to nominate Biden and have Kamala debate JD Vance.
People don’t believe any of the propaganda that tells them what is reality – and that hasn’t ended well for Harris:
He went to CNN to debate a network that detests him (not to mention the NABJ). @BretBaier and @marthamaccallum would be completely professional and fair and would have asked Trump tough questions before – I know, I was there. Why is she too afraid to do that on Fox? https://t.co/r5z25xFkpX

Trump ALREADY took part in a debate on a liberal network. Why wouldn’t we expect Harris to appear on Fox News?
If Harris can’t get along with Bret and Martha, how on earth is she supposed to get along with Xi and Putin? https://t.co/v47AVhDClK

I’m sure Trump would still be willing to debate Biden on September 10th, but I think you pushed him out for someone who didn’t get any votes. https://t.co/smYlSP86hT
