Injection in my veins: Side-by-side video comparisons of Vance and Walz confirm that the vice presidential debate will be exciting

After likely Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris named Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as her vice presidential candidate on Tuesday, the situation in the 2024 presidential election campaign escalated quite quickly.

Republican vice presidential candidate JD Vance, fully aware of his role as an attack dog, has taken the lead, as he should, by questioning why the mainstream press seems to be on board with Harris’ press-avoidance strategy and pointing out that Walz is the last person who should be criticizing anyone’s back story in public.

As we’ve noted before, Vance is driving the media and the left (but I repeat) crazy, as evidenced by an attack by Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear on the Ohio Senator that quickly backfired.

At the time, Beshear – who was rumored to be on Harris’s running mate list – told anyone who would listen that he “wanted to let the American people know what a Kentuckian is and what they look like. Because let me tell you, JD Vance is not from here.”

With his reaction, Vance thwarted Beshear’s plans – and perhaps even destroyed the Democratic governor’s hopes of becoming Harris’s running mate.

“Eastern Kentucky will always have a special place in my heart … it’s very odd that a guy who first worked in his father’s law firm and who inherited the governorship from his father would criticize my origin story,” Vance noted in response to the criticism.

Walz also jumped on Vance’s Appalachian story and portrayed him as an imposter and the product of a lavish upbringing:

As Streiff pointed out, the couch story is the “big lie” of this campaign and one of many that the mainstream media is predictably willing to overlook. But that aside, let’s look at JD Vance’s heated response to Walz’s denigration of his background, as my colleague Matt Funicello previously reported:

“What bothers me about Tim Walz is the stolen heroism crap. Don’t pretend to be someone you’re not. And if he wants to criticize me for having an Ivy League education, I’m proud […] I could make something of myself and I would be ashamed if I were in his shoes and lied about my military service like he did.”

The comparison of the two clips says it all:

The VP debate will illuminatedGuys. I mean, unlike years past, maybe a lot of people will actually watch this thing. I can’t wait.
