Kamala Harris has released a statement declaring that “the debate about debates is over,” then hinting that Donald Trump may not show up for the September 10 ABC News face-off before rejecting JD Vance’s request to hold more than one vice presidential debate.
It’s critical to remember that Harris and Walz have been talking about the debates since the beginning of their campaign, suggesting that their opponents are afraid of them. Does the following sound like they are really that confident?

Who appointed Kamala Harris as the master and commander of all debates so that she can be at the beginning and the end of the conversations? A press not completely in her pocket would ask that question, questioning her about her previous bluster. The usual fare is three Presidential debates, two of which focused on domestic issues and one on foreign policy, shouldn’t Harris be expected to do the bare minimum?

Of course not. She’s the most spoiled and pampered presidential candidate in history and hasn’t won a single primary, so why would anyone expect her to act anything other than a spoiled beast? And then there’s Tim Walz, who has repeatedly suggested on the campaign trail that Vance is afraid to debate him. Yet when Vance says he’s willing to participate in multiple debates, Walz suddenly isn’t interested.
This is all part of the quasi-basement strategy being pursued by the Harris campaign. Yes, they are holding campaign events, but anyone can come and read a teleprompter. Neither has given a single interview or press conference yet, and it looks like that won’t happen until behind schedule August. at earliestThe debates are one of Trump’s main tools for getting ahead of the incredibly biased press dedicated to putting Harris in office, so it’s no wonder the vice president and her running mate are afraid of turning too many away.
Never mind that the agreed debates will take place on networks and with moderators who are extremely sympathetic to the Harris campaign. Why would Trump appear for a debate on ABC News when Harris refuses to appear for the established third debate on Fox News?
Unfortunately, Trump has to go into these situations with his hands tied because of mainstream media bias. That’s unfair, but no journalist is going to press Harris in this situation for her cowardice because none of them want to be the journalist who “helped” Donald Trump. That’s life as a Republican. I wish it were different, but it’s not.
