Someone once said that timing is everything. And if Donald Trump knows anything, it’s when to release messages designed to incite his opponents. And that’s exactly what he just did. Readers probably know that the Democratic National Convention (DNC) began in Chicago on Monday.
As my colleague Nick Arama wrote, the keynote address to close the first day was delivered by President Joe Biden, who “by God” did his best to weather a noisy and tumultuous farewell to his party.

But just as aged Joe was finishing his remarks, Trump made his move on his Truth Social account, posting an update on the presidential debate schedule he received from Team Harris tonight.
To quickly recap where we stand on the presidential debates: Biden and Trump debated once; Trump offered to have three debates with Vice President and current Democratic nominee Kamala Harris, one of which was to be moderated by Fox News; then the two candidates agreed to a debate on September 10 on ABC.
Now, according to the former president, Harris has officially run away from the challenge of a debate on Fox News:
Comrade Kamala Harris just informed us that she will NOT be participating in the FoxNews debate on September 4. I am not surprised by this development because I have a feeling she knows that it is very complex at best for her to defend her record-breaking setbacks in absolutely everything she does…

Frankly, I can’t blame Kamala after it was revealed a few days ago that none other than Harris’ nemesis from the 2020 Democratic primary debate debacle, former Aloha State Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, is not done stalking Harris; she is now helping the 2024 Republican presidential candidate prepare for the debate. It would be best if she debated him as infrequently as possible.
