Republican Rep. Mike Waltz of Florida, the first Green Beret in Congress, has had enough of the Democratic National Convention (DNC) lies about the “successes” of the Biden-Harris administration. The decorated war veteran sharply criticized the administration on Wednesday for its “idiotic and moronic decisions” during the disastrous 2021 Afghanistan withdrawal, which resulted in the loss of 13 U.S. soldiers and more than 1,000 U.S. civilians trapped behind Taliban lines.

Waltz’s harsh criticism of Biden-Harris came as part of the Republican Party’s counter-program to the rigging of the DNC and at the beginning of the anniversary of the infamous retreat. Waltz made his remarks from Trump Tower in Chicago.

Three years ago this week, all of that happened in Afghanistan, this disgrace, this debacle, this stain on our national conscience and, I believe, on American history. It’s one thing to lose your men or women in combat. That happens, but to lose them because of incompetence and literally idiotic and moronic decisions by the White House is something we will never forget.
And they [Harris] owns it. She owns it. She was proud of it, she bragged about it, and now she’s trying to pretend it didn’t happen, she hasn’t even acknowledged it this week, and we won’t hear the term “Afghan.”
You won’t hear any of the speakers this week claiming credit for this debacle. And that was the case three years ago when Harris stood by Biden’s side and said, “What do you mean? That was an outstanding success.”
Waltz rejected Biden’s claim that his disastrous withdrawal was “an outstanding success,” pointing to the resurgence of terrorist activity in the Taliban-controlled country and the fact that American hostages remain in the country.
Three Americans are currently being held hostage in Afghanistan [held] from the Taliban. At the same time, Biden and Harris are providing billions of dollars in aid… How do you give an organization [a] Billions of dollars in aid while holding our own citizens hostage?
This is a legitimate demand of the American people. But in Afghanistan, terrorism is experiencing a brilliant comeback. Al-Qaeda is on the rise again. They are building training camps. ISIS [is] resurgent.
Ahh, Rep. Waltz, the Biden-Harris Afghanistan debacle is at the top of the list of “things not to be mentioned” at the dazzling charade known as the 2024 Democratic National Convention, aka the “Coronation of Princess Kamala.”
In behind schedule July, Waltz spoke to Pete Hegseth, the weekend host of “Fox & Friends,” who was stationed in Afghanistan with the Minnesota Army National Guard, about Harris being proud to have been “the last person in the room” to advise Biden on the arbitrary withdrawal of the remaining soldiers from Afghanistan:
