White House takes over baton from PA Governor Shapiro and calls Trump’s comments about his support of Harris “anti-Semitic”

The Biden-Harris White House continues to represent “both sides” of the term “anti-Semite” as the entire left wing of his party marched outside the Democratic National Convention in Chicago this week, chanting “From the river to the sea” and similar anti-Semitic rhetoric.

Early Thursday around midnight, Republican presidential candidate, former President Donald Trump went to his Truth Social account to discuss the appearance of one of Kamala Harris’ remaining vice presidential candidates, Pennsylvania’s Democratic Governor Josh Shapiro, at the Democratic Party Convention on Wednesday.

He wrote:

“The highly overrated Jewish Governor of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Josh Shapiro, gave a really bad and poorly delivered speech talking about freedom and fighting for presidential candidate Kamala Harris. Yet she hates Israel and will do nothing but make Israel’s journey through the complexities of survival as difficult as possible in the hope that it will fail in the end. Judge only by her actions!”

Early Thursday morning, a reporter asked the governor for comment on the post. He seemed ecstatic to comply:

In case you can’t read or watch the clip in the post, he said, “First of all, I think it’s become clear over the last few weeks that Donald Trump is obsessed with me and is obsessed with continuing to spread hate and division in our politics. He’s someone who routinely peddles anti-Semitic stereotypes like these.”

He went on to attack Trump’s campaign decisions in the Pennsylvania election, then returned to his own comments during the Democratic National Convention on Wednesday, claiming he had spoken of the “complete opposite”:

….[R]Real freedom, bringing people together, accepting people no matter what they look like or where they come from, who they love, what they believe in – and saying, “This is the right place for you!” That is diametrically opposed to everything Donald Trump believes in – and it is clear that he will continue to be the hateful, divisive person he has always been.

This is not unlike the speeches that former President Barack Obama, his wife Michelle, and others have given at the DNC so far. But there is no need to quote them when we can take Governor Shapiro’s definition of “bringing people together” from his speech:

Unit!

The media has also joined in this election cycle to spread anti-Semitism against Shapiro, as RedState’s Bonchie reported on one of Jake Tapper’s shows on CNN.

It’s unclear whether the White House or Shapiro’s team brought up the talking point, so I’m just assuming the White House will pick up the baton from Shapiro and get going on Thursday morning. Politico carefully transcribed their attack:

The White House again condemned anti-Semitism on Thursday after former President Donald Trump called Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro a “highly overrated Jewish governor” and criticized him for his support of Vice President Kamala Harris.

In a statement Thursday morning, White House spokesman Herbie Ziskend called it “anti-Semitic, dangerous and hurtful to attack a fellow American by denouncing his Jewish faith in a derogatory manner or perpetuating the centuries-old slander of ‘dual loyalty.'”

It seems that the Democratic Party not only doesn’t know what a “woman” is, but also doesn’t know how to recognize anti-Semitism. Because that’s not what it is. Shout anti-Israel slurs? Yes. Express the belief that Israel shouldn’t exist, like Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iran? Absolutely. The sorrowful fact is that no matter how much the left wants people to forget former President Trump’s monumental Abraham Accords, Americans have long memories. Hopefully, come November, they’ll remember stunts like Shapiro’s for exactly what they are.
