Since being selected by Kamala Harris as her running mate for the 2024 presidential election, Tim Walz has faced his share of criticism—and he pretty much deserves it. But, you know, it just has to hurt a little more when that criticism comes from Minnesotans.
The Minnesota State Fair is happening this week, and among all the rides and vendors is the “Never Walz” booth run by Action 4 Liberty MN, and they are giving the governor a piece of their mind – and and attract crowds.
“Never Walz” reads a giant sign at a booth at the State Fair, where, Fox News Digital learned, long lines of people have formed waiting to get “Never Walz” fans and T-shirts.
The booth was set up by the conservative nonprofit organization Action 4 Liberty MN, which offers visitors to the state’s second-largest fair the opportunity to win “Never Walz” signs and clothing on a wheel of fortune.
“Our amazing supporters spin the wheel for a chance to win a free t-shirt and a ‘Never Walz’ fan. We are a nonprofit that promotes freedom by exposing RINOs and leftists when they betray freedom, and we work to mobilize our grassroots army of supporters and train them on how to use their individual political power as effectively as possible,” Erik Mortensen, chairman of Action 4 Liberty and former Republican state representative from Minnesota, told Fox News Digital on Tuesday.
Those sound like pretty good goals to me. And Mr. Mortensen, spokesman for Action 4 Liberty, has some pointed comments to make about Governor Walz.
“Action 4 Liberty has been a leader in Minnesota in exposing Governor Walz’s hunger for power for years. In 2021, our booth at the state fair was themed ‘Never Again,’ referring to Walz’s unconstitutional lockdowns. Mandatory mask wearing and vaccination. The booth was used to promote my “Never Again” bill, which would take away the governor’s ability to unilaterally declare a state of emergency and proclaim himself “King of Minnesota.” We Minnesotans know Walz best. “He pretends to be a folksy Midwesterner, but he is a thin-skinned, power-mad tyrant who has destroyed our state and repeatedly violated the freedoms of Minnesotans,” Mortensen said when asked about the motives and history behind the booth.
But wait! There’s more!
“Walz signed a bill that strips parents of parental rights if they refuse to allow their minor children to have sex change surgery. Walz signed the most extreme abortion bill that has NO restrictions on abortion. Thanks to Walz, 13-year-old girls can now receive taxpayer-funded surgery, Late abortions in Minnesota without telling her parents,” Mortensen said of Walz’s history.

If you want to know everything about who a person really is, turn to those who know them best. Minnesotans know Tim Walz, who until recently was barely known nationally. They know him as the governor who authorized cops to shoot paintballs at people who had the nerve to stand outside on their own porches during COVID-19 chaos. They know him as a man who strips parents of the right to make medical decisions for their minor children. He is a notorious liar about his military service and other things as well. Minnesotans know this, and now we know it, too. Imagine what such a man could do on a national level.
Admittedly, this voting booth is amusing, but on the scale of this year’s presidential election? Well, Minnesota is almost certainly going to go blue again anyway. The last time Minnesota went for a Republican in the Electoral College was in Richard Nixon’s 49-state landslide victory in 1972, and the RealClearPolitics Poll average in this state Harris is eight points ahead of Trump. But that doesn’t mean these things aren’t worth it. Any thumbs-up to the collective eyes of the Harris/Walz campaign are worth the effort, and if something like that distracts them for a few minutes, then it’s a good idea. And as I like to say, there’s no shortage of windmills to fight against.
