No, when Democrats chose Kamala as the cure for their problems and set about revamping her image and recasting her as a star—a tough, capable but cheerful prosecutor ready to get the ship (on which she has served as first mate for three and a half years) back on course—unencumbered by what happened (or didn’t happen) during her tenure as vice president, they were all in. Last week’s DNClapalooza was a testament to the power of Democratic storytelling and Hollywood glitz.
