Bush, McCain and Romney’s advisers took a step in the presidential election campaign that did not elicit the hoped-for reaction

President Donald Trump disrupted the race by securing the endorsement of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Now he has the endorsement of Tulsi Gabbard, with more to come.

Converting former Democrats to the Republican side was nothing modern; we’ve seen it before with people like Elon Musk and other people in Big Tech.

This is partly because Trump is seen as the better candidate on issues of free speech and censorship, and partly because of how poorly the Democrats have performed on these issues.

This is undoubtedly a major concern for Democrats.

The circle closes: Former Democratic presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard supports Trump

I don’t know what the media was thinking, but if they thought this would affect anyone on the right, I don’t think they know where the Republican Party is is now:

More than 200 former employees of the three Republican presidential candidates who ran against former President Trump in 2016 – former President George W. Bush, former senator. John McCain (R-Ariz.) and Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) – endorsed Vice President Harris on Monday.

The majority of the group also supported President Biden in 2020. The group wrote a letter Announcement of approval, USA Today reported for the first time.

They repeated the usual false themes of the Democrats, trying to link Trump to Project 2025 and make a Russia-Russia-Russia thing.

They added: “Four more years of Donald Trump’s chaotic leadership, this time focused on the dangerous goals of Project 2025, will harm people at home and weaken our sacred institutions. Abroad, democratic movements will be irreparably endangered as Trump and his aide JD Vance kowtow to dictators like Vladimir Putin and turn their backs on our allies.”

First, Trump has nothing to do with Project 2025, and it is the Biden-Harris team that has done everything possible to weaken our “sacred institutions,” including attacking our Supreme Court and trying to circumvent its decisions.

Second, it’s hilarious that they go so far as to court McCain/Bush/Romney “volunteers” and “interns” as if anyone cares what they think. You can look at the names; I recognized two out of the 200-plus. Not necessarily anyone people would even know.

If most of these people supported Biden back in 2020, then guess what? Even though they call themselves Republicans, they support the Democrats. That says a lot more about them. They are not just against Trump – they support Biden and Harris. If they can support Biden or Harris’ radical ideas, then in my humble opinion they are not conservatives. Also, this just confirms that there were a lot of people who were not conservative who worked for Romney and Co.

If they thought that would stop anyone from voting for Harris, I think they were very mistaken, at least judging by the response to the article. Almost all of the responses poked fun at the letter. Many joked that they didn’t need another reason to vote for Trump, but thanks for that one. Some called it a great advertisement for Trump.
