CNN data guru brings sad news for Kamala: If Trump beats the polls by just one point, it’s game over

Harry Enten, CNN’s enthusiastic senior data reporter, said Friday that the presidential race is as close as it’s ever been and that the slightest shift in momentum could change the outcome. Moreover, he added, if Donald Trump beats current poll numbers by just a single point — which is entirely possible, if not likely, given the recent presidential election — he will be in the Oval Office in January 2025.

Surveys in 2016 And 2020 has consistently and famously underestimated Trump’s support.

Enten pointed out that the race hasn’t been this close in decades, a fact that should bring a smile to the former president’s face as he draws. sad frown from Team Kamala.

“We are talking about the closest election in a generation, where a single point could make all the difference,” Enten told CNN anchor John Berman on Friday.

The reporter began by noting that no presidential race has been this close in 60 years. According to national polling averages from 1964 to 2020, every election has had at least one three-week period in which one candidate performed five percentage points better than the other.

So far, this three-week lead has not been redeemed in this campaign.

“How many days in this campaign have there been where a candidate had a lead of at least five points nationally? Look at that. Zero days, zero days. The fact is, this campaign has been as consistently close as we’ve ever seen, Mr. Berman,” Enten said.

All I’m saying is, if I were a friend of Harry Enten, I’d probably advise him to polish his resume and get ready to look for jobs on LinkedIn, because he’s been dropping reality bombshells on a regular basis lately – and the left-wing cabal at CNN can’t be ecstatic about that.

Enten pointed out that if the final result exactly matched today’s poll results, Harris would win. But that’s not the whole story.

However, when Enten simulated what would happen if Trump beat current poll numbers by “one percentage point,” it showed that the former president would win.

“Look at this. If Trump beats his current poll numbers by just a single point, take Kamala Harris’ victory and – look at this – Donald Trump gets 287 electoral votes,” he said, comparing that to Harris’ 251 votes in that scenario.

“John, this is a really exciting race right now where every little move can make all the difference,” he concluded.

In other words, polls have dramatically underestimated Trump’s support in the past, and if that is the case here, then it is game, set and match; the performance will be over, and the “Overweight woman” will sing a handsome song.

Polls are polls, and only one counts, and that is the one from November 5. But as a Republican, these numbers can only be encouraging – especially as the mainstream media continues to send out its daily dose of phony news, along the lines of: “Kamala is just so incredibly popular!”
