Republican Senate candidate Dave McCormick continues to run an impressive campaign against Democratic Senator Bob Casey in the crucial swing state of Pennsylvania. where surveys show Casey ahead, but with McCormick close enough to give him nightmares and worries about a “Rush” of attack ads less than two months before election day.
Although Montana Senator Jon Tester is in deep trouble against Republican candidate Tim Sheehy and West Virginia is on the verge of turn red Thanks to the candidacy of Governor Jim Justice and the resignation of Senator Joe Manchin, Pennsylvania would still be a nice showcase for Republican senators. That’s why McCormick has continued to apply pressure, sharply criticizing Casey for rubber-stamping Biden and Harris’ agenda on issues such as the border crisis, energy policy and crime.

With this in mind, we turn to comments Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris made in what was so generously described as an interview with the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) on Tuesday.
As RedState’s Jennifer Oliver O’Connell reported, one of the questions asked was whether Harris had “full confidence” in the Secret Service’s ability to protect her after two failed assassination attempts on her general election opponent, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.
After Harris said “yes,” she strangely changed her mind: give their answer about the safety of people in states like Ohio and elsewhere:
“I do, but I mean, you can go back to Ohio,” Harris replied. “Not everyone has Secret Service, and there are far too many people in our country right now who don’t feel safe.”
Of course, that answer came with a lot of problems, and McCormick was more than ecstatic to lay them out in a segment he made on Fox and Friends on Wednesday:
“It was a mystery because President Trump is not safe. I mean, I was in Butler when he was shot. What happened a few days ago seems inconceivable to me that the Secret Service could fail so miserably a second time. And then when she talks about security, I mean, the economic and physical security of Americans under President Biden and Vice President Harris has been terrible.
Ten million illegal immigrants, violent crime in our cities – in Philadelphia, one of the most dangerous cities in the world, the out-of-control fentanyl crisis, the economic insecurity that comes with inflation of over 20 percent, which is costing working families their lives.
So if you want to talk about safety, the safety of Americans and Pennsylvanians has been very poor under this administration, and I think that’s why 80 percent of Pennsylvanians think the country is going in the wrong direction.”

Two debates were agreed by either candidate (in October), with a third under negotiation. It goes without saying that you should keep this race (and the debates) on your must-watch list, because the path to a compact Republican lead in the U.S. Senate (should Sheehy and Justice win) could well lead through Pennsylvania.
