We haven’t heard much from former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) since her calculated plan to push President Joe Biden out of the presidential race bore fruit in slow July, when Biden ceded the nomination to his Vice President, Kamala Harris.

But when it did happen, it was the usual barrage of nonsense, as we saw during her appearance on Bill Maher’s show in slow August, when Pelosi had the gall to invoke Ronald Reagan’s legacy while defending California’s unsafe open-border priorities and policies.

Then there was the “interview” she gave to late-night talk show host Stephen Colbert in which she attempted to take a political stance on the issue of the war between Israel and Hamas.

On Tuesday, Pelosi met with CNN anchor Jake Tapper for a sparring session. Tapper is known for holding Republican guests to a completely different standard than Democratic guests. Nevertheless, he had a few uncomfortable questions for her, and one of them caused her to have a minor nervous breakdown.

The outburst came when Tapper mentioned GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump Remarks at a campaign rally in Savannah, Georgia, earlier said that he thought Harris had more cognitive problems than Biden. When Tapper asked if Pelosi had a response to Trump’s comments, she replied:

“Why would you even mention that? This is a person who is not being honest. He’s their presidential candidate. He’s incompetent. Let’s not even talk about the silliness and the weirdness of it all and the attack on women that this is. We’re not going to talk about issues.”

Watch the clip below:

Elsewhere in the same section, Pelosi told a pretty blatant lie about the extent of her consulting work in presidential campaigns, stating that she was convinced that the candidates were astute and wise enough to go their own way without her intervention:

“I never give advice to presidential candidates. The wisdom they possess, the political acumen they have to become a presidential candidate shows that they know something about the market out there.”

Regard:

Except that she actually advises presidential candidates, either directly or indirectly. We saw the latter spectacularly in July, when she strategically moved to get Biden to drop out of the presidential race, threatening to release “humiliating polling data to reinforce her belief” that Biden Don’t defeat Trump:

Pelosi sent the 81-year-old president an urgent message last month while he was recovering from his COVID-19 infection at his beach house in Delaware, insiders say. told the Daily Mail.

[…]

Pelosi threatened to go public with her belief that her Democratic colleague would not be able to beat the Republican candidate, former President Donald Trump, in a rematch – and threatened to release humiliating poll numbers to support her view, the sources claimed.

She later admitted to Tapper during the Democratic National Convention that she “did what I had to do” to oust Biden.

Although Rep. Pelosi got what she wanted, it remains to be seen whether the palace coup she set in motion will pay off. But it will certainly be engaging to see her reaction if Trump and Vance emerge victorious in November. I’ll be stocking up on popcorn just in case.
