Stephanie Ruhle appeared on Bill Maher’s “Real Time” show on Friday and, incredibly, argued that people shouldn’t demand or expect answers from Kamala Harris on the issues as she runs against former President Donald Trump. It was a ridiculous position for someone claiming to be a journalist to take, arguing against questioning a presidential candidate because she supported them.
So perhaps it’s not surprising that Harris, who has given very few interviews, did give an interview to Ruhle. Harris no doubt thought she could sit through a casual interview with him after Ruhle’s testimony. She knew she could count on Ruhle not to put her under pressure.

Stephanie Ruhle’s shameless ranting about Kamala Harris pays off for her
Yet even with a softball interviewer backing her up, Harris remained completely blank. She had no idea what she was saying about tariffs or anything else.
MSNBC: You criticize President Trump for the tariffs, but you and Biden have maintained – and even expanded – many of his tariffs…?
KAMALA: “You have to be serious!”

Kamala: “You have to be serious and have a plan – a real plan that is not just a few talking points that end with a shout out at a political rally, but one that actually thinks about what the return on the investment is going to be.”

She claimed Trump wasn’t sedate about having a “plan,” which is crazy considering she’s the one refusing to disclose her plans. So what the hell is she even talking about? She doesn’t even know what tariffs are, and she can’t explain why she and Biden kept them in place – if they’re bad.
Harris is the one who doesn’t seem to understand or care about the negative impact her actions have on the economy, so talking about Trump, who had a booming economy with low inflation before the pandemic, is pure projection. She seems to think we should just appoint her without her having to commit to any plans.
Ruhle actually asks a good question: What happens if you can’t raise corporate taxes, if you don’t get what you want? [which is quite likely if the Republicans take the Senate]? Harris simply refuses to answer the question and says, well, we have to do it. Look at the blank look on Harris’ face.
Rhule: If you can’t raise corporate taxes, where are you going to get the money to fund these programs?
Kamala: “Well… but… we’re going to have to raise corporate taxes.” pic.twitter.com/TS6hSU9YFq
— Trump War Room (@TrumpWarRoom) 25 September 2024
She has no answers, she just says that the corporations and billionaires have to “pay their fair share”.
First, the affluent pay the majority of taxes. This “fair share” nonsense is the left’s class-war mantra, devoid of any basis in reality, to justify their ongoing desire to take more and more money from people.
Second, if she wants to end Trump’s tax cuts that have helped most Americans, she will also raise taxes on ordinary people.
Third, she doesn’t seem to understand that raising corporate taxes means they will raise taxes on goods and/or lay off workers, so on top of all the bad things she’s already done, she’ll do even more damage to the economy and suppress growth.
Ruhle is actually pushing them – so how are you going to get them to pay without them having to leave the country? Harris doesn’t answer the question and looks at the look on her face when Ruhle then tells Nicolle Wallace about it.
Ruhle: “How do you find the limit to ensure that companies pay their fair share but do not leave our country?”
Kamala: *evades the question* pic.twitter.com/5iAjqynNRg

Rühle admits that she does not answer the question.
OH STUPID.

Kamala admits that the dream of owning her own home is now unattainable.
Kamala: “For too many people in our country today, owning a home is difficult. The days when everyone thought they could actually live the American dream are over.”
My goodness, who do you think has been in power for the last 3.5 years and is responsible for this? pic.twitter.com/8LnXUIN6cz
— Trump War Room (@TrumpWarRoom) 25 September 2024
Yes, that’s true, and a lot of it was due to inflation and higher interest rates under you and Joe Biden that prevented people from buying homes. But she’s acting like she’s solving a problem she helped create.
What do you say to people who don’t believe in your “politics,” asks Ruhle. What politics? Harris then unleashes the most jargon-laden word salad of all time.
Stephanie Ruhle: “There are many Americans who do not recognize themselves in your plans… What do you say to them?”
Kamala: “So, if you are… hardworking… if you… uh… have the dreams and ambitions and aspirations that I want you to have, then you are in my plan.” pic.twitter.com/FVrcBWe48I
— Trump War Room (@TrumpWarRoom) 25 September 2024
“So if you… work hard… if you… uh… have the dreams and ambitions and hopes that I expect of you, then you are part of my plan,” she said, then went on to talk about the “spirit and character of the American people.”
Yes, I believe in the spirit and character of the American people, but what about your spirit and character and plans? Repeating the question, talking about joy or aspirations is not a plan or a reason for anyone to vote for you. At this point, her answers simply insult our intelligence. She says she wants the middle class to “move forward” – but under her and Joe Biden, that hasn’t happened.
But hey, at least she discovered the word “holistic.”
Kamala seems to have just learned the word “holistic.” pic.twitter.com/lMpxWEg3aB

How did she deal with the question of whether she was not endorsed by the Teamsters? She was the first Democrat in decades to not receive their endorsement, and the online and telephone polls showed the majority supporting Trump. Kamala couldn’t even answer that question.
Ruhle: “What were the reasons why the Teamsters decided not to support you?”
Kamala evades the question: “I stand with workers and believe that it is important to be able to join a union and to understand the benefits and value of unions.” pic.twitter.com/1pBH0DzYzA
— Trump War Room (@TrumpWarRoom) 25 September 2024
Of course, that’s a tough question for her because then she would have to admit that it’s because of the terrible economy and border that hasn’t helped workers. She doesn’t want to admit that, so she just babbles.
Ruhle asked her about the McDonald’s controversy – she claimed she worked for McDonald’s, but there was no evidence of that. Harris then bursts into laughter and claims she did, she “made fries.”
Ruhle: “Have you ever in your life served two beef patties with special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles and onions on a sesame bun?”
Kamala: “I made fries, ha ha ha!”
Pathetic. pic.twitter.com/xcpPOuXtlv
— Trump War Room (@TrumpWarRoom) 25 September 2024
Oops, how can you take this person seriously?
Finally, Ruhle told Chris Hayes that it was okay that Harris did not answer the questions because they were not clear or direct topics.
Rühle: “You could look at her and say she didn’t give a clear and direct answer. And that’s fine, because we’re not talking about clear and direct issues here.”
Awkward. pic.twitter.com/gxsNDzRXAV
— Trump War Room (@TrumpWarRoom) 25 September 2024
Are you sedate? This is the most essential elected office in the country and this person Harris seems as sedate as a fruit cup. We deserve answers and she’s laughing at us. She should be rejected out of hand because this is just silly on this point.
