I wanted to let you know about the furor over JD Vance initially being denied entry to the Primanti Brothers restaurant in North Versailles, Pennsylvania.
As we noted, several videos went viral on Saturday in which people posted that Vance had been denied entry.
His supporters were already in the restaurant and ordered food. They then canceled their orders and went to meet and greet Vance in the parking lot.

Primanti essentially admits that Vance was initially denied entry, but blames it on a mistake by her people on the ground. You posted this on X but turned off comments in response. Then it was said that he was welcomed into the restaurant after an initial denial.

Allegheny County Republican Councilman Sam DeMarco disputes that account. He also appeared to deny that the visit was “without notice.”

Although Senator Vance was extremely gracious today about being denied entry to Primanti’s today, that statement is NOT correct. Senator Vance was denied entry and he and his team were NOT welcomed into the restaurant after the initial “confusion.” Maybe Primanti’s isn’t telling the truth about their manager, who threatened to call the police if he walked in. Senator Vance spoke to guests outside in the parking lot and took photos with them, but there was no interaction inside other than going in to pay for everyone’s food. Otherwise I wouldn’t comment further, but the incorrect statement needs to be corrected. I was told that the staff had contacted the restaurant beforehand, and indeed a sandwich was ordered for the Senator, who was seated in a seat reserved for him just before the motorcade arrived.
They already had all the supporters inside, so it wasn’t like Vance came in with all the supporters, even if it would have been a “surprise” – which DeMarco denies.
While the restaurant thinks they’ve sorted things out because Vance was merciful, they should apologize and publicly invite him back.
Meanwhile, the Kamala Headquarters account reported on Kamala Harris and Tim Walz’s visit to Primanti’s Moon Township location in August, during which they attempted to troll and divide Vance. But as always, they didn’t have the sense to realize that what they were doing wasn’t a good idea.

They were so intent on trolling Vance that they didn’t realize they were implying it was actually political and to pressure the restaurant. Plus, it was silly because it also brought back the true story of that August visit.

These weren’t normal guests. As we reported at the time, regulars were upset when they said they had to leave the restaurant just before Kamala Harris, Tim Walz and their entire entourage entered the restaurant.
What the above video and news reports didn’t say was that the people, in addition to campaign staff, press and restaurant staff, were invited guests/Kamala supporters and volunteers.
The media showed pictures of Harris smiling and greeting people who were very receptive to her, as you can see above. The media described people variously as “guests,” “voters,” or “Customers.”
What they didn’t say was that they were invited supporters.
