Democrats are showcasing Republican support for Harris’ presidential bid

Former GOP Rep. Liz Cheney will campaign with Vice President Kamala Harris on Thursday in Ripon, Wisconsin – the birthplace of the Republican Party.

As November 5 approaches, the Democratic presidential nominee continues to receive support from prominent Republicans as she and former President Donald Trump, the Republican presidential nominee, battle it out in a tough competition for the Oval Office.

She lost her re-election for Wyoming’s only House seat in 2022 to Harriet Hageman during the state’s GOP primary.

The growing group of Republicans supporting Harris includes Cassidy Hutchinson, a former Trump adviser.

Trump in Michigan

Trump is now also campaigning intensively in swing states. He was scheduled to hold a rally in Saginaw, Michigan, on Thursday afternoon.

The Democratic National Committee released several billboards ahead of its rally in Michigan focused on Trump and his running mate, Republican Sen. JD Vance of Ohio, who continue to deny the 2020 election results.

During Tuesday’s vice presidential debate between Vance and Democratic Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, Vance sidestepped a question about whether Trump lost the 2020 election, saying he himself was “focused on the future.”

Walz, who asked Vance the question, called his answer a “fucking non-answer.”

A version of the DNC billboard is also set to premiere in Wisconsin and North Carolina in the coming days, coinciding with Trump’s upcoming rallies in those swing states.
