The Harris/Walz campaign is seeing some worrisome internal poll numbers. A change in tactics at this slow stage of the game is otherwise a bit tough to explain. Of course, there is the compelling observation that the Harris/Walz campaign so far appears to have used no tactics at all other than keeping Kamala Harris away from anything unscripted and undirected, to keep her word salad to a minimum and dazzling Keep lights away from Tim Walz’s forehead to avoid blinding members of the media.
However, tactics are changing, and the fresh angle seems to be The negative attacks against Donald Trump are intensifying.
Vice President Kamala Harris‘ Campaign plans attack more aggressively former president Donald Trump In the remaining weeks before the November election, a fresh phase began aimed at swaying the diminutive number of undecided voters in her favor, according to five Harris campaign officials.
The change is being driven in part by internal campaign data that shows harsher anti-Trump messaging could persuade some still-uncertain Americans to support Harris, three of the campaign officials said. The effort has stopped contain fresh Show and tougher campaign language highlighting Trump’s past actions and rhetoric, which Harris officials hope will dissuade those voters from supporting the former president.
Because no one has ever tried to run negative ads against Donald Trump?
You see, media coverage of Donald Trump has been overwhelmingly negative since he came down the golden escalator to announce his candidacy in 2015. Democrats loved Trump when he was just a real estate agent from Queens and a reality TV guy. They certainly loved him when he donated to their campaigns – which he did. But when he announced himself not only as a Republican but also as a populist, America-first Republican, he was suddenly an archdemon and the legacy media decided he had to be destroyed – and they have done their best to do so ever since to do.
Trump has survived all the media attention. And the public was inundated with it. It seems extremely unlikely that a few more negative ads from the Harris/Walz campaign will make the difference. These fresh campaign ads will ultimately be nothing more than a sycophant in the whirlwind of negative media coverage that the legacy media has spread about Donald Trump.

According to the NBC News article (linked above), a Harris campaign official provided some details about the filing:
“We’re going to create more contrast everywhere we can,” Cedric Richmond, co-chair of the Harris campaign, said in an interview. Given Trump’s own rhetoric on the campaign trail, Richmond added: “I don’t think you can be expected to criticize him with kid gloves.”
Yes, please definitely draw more contrasts. Compare the unemployment rate between the Trump and Biden administrations. Contrast interest rates. Contrast inflation. Compare gasoline and heating oil prices. (We filled our oil tank yesterday, at almost $4 a gallon.) Compare food prices. Comparison of property prices.
There is a lot to contrast. Finally, this election is unique in that both candidates have a track record; Donald Trump can point to his first term in office, which – until the Corona chaos – went pretty well economically. Kamala Harris is trying to distance herself from the debacle that has been Joe Biden’s only term, although her vice president isn’t helping by running around screaming:We can’t afford another four years of this!“Not to mention all the… facilitate Kamala Harris is getting from her boss.

This is a minefield that the Harris campaign might want to think twice about entering. Donald Trump has been playing this game for eight years now; At this slow stage in the game, there’s nothing fresh to throw at him.
