CNN commentator Dana Bash hardly pretends to be objective anymore; She doesn’t bother to hide the fact that she’s a shamelessly partisan scribbler pretending to be a journalist. However, Republican National Committee co-chairwoman and Trump’s daughter-in-law Lara Trump didn’t have it straightforward on Sunday, fighting back strongly as Bash tried to promote the Harris-Biden regime by arguing that she was doing a great job at her job had response to Hurricane Helene.
Except, of course, that no one is really impressed with their lame efforts.
Just like in the debates, a left-wing journalist couldn’t just let a conservative speak his mind, and Bash felt the need to interrupt and express her own opinion. “Let me just stop you right there,” she said, interrupting Lara Trump mid-sentence.
LARE TRUMP: “I am incredibly worried. In North Carolina, I hear every day from local people who are desperate for help. It’s a bad situation there. I actually don’t think we even know how bad it really is there. And look, Kamala Harris said it’s currently $750 per family, the idea that we spent $650 million in FY24 on the refugee crisis that Kamala Harris was responsible for preventing – after all, what caused it – by We have an open door policy at our southern border,” said Lara Trump.
DANA BASH: “But Laura, let me just stop you here,” Bash jumped in. “Let me just stop you there because I just don’t want to let this come to light.” You’re right about FEMA donating $750, but that’s a first step. It’s meant for immediate needs, it’s called facilitate with sedate needs.”

Lara Trump forces Dana Bash to admit that Democrats allocated a much larger amount of money to illegals than to Americans in need of disaster relief after Hurricane Helene:

From the tweet above:
Lara Trump: “Kamala Harris said $750 per family. The idea that in FY24 we spent $650 million on the refugee crisis that Kamala Harris was responsible for ending. They said they were out of money. “In terms of hurricane relief, we put so much of our tax dollars into the crisis that we couldn’t redirect the money to help the people on the ground in Carolina.”
Dana Bash: “This is a separate tranche of money.”Yes, Dana, the “tranche” of money allocated to illegals is far greater than the amount of money allocated to needy Americans in emergency situations. Thank you for agreeing with Trump.
To her credit, Lara didn’t buy what Bash was so shamelessly selling:
“Well, Alejandro Mayorkas came out, Dana, and said they had no more money for their hurricane relief. “We have another hurricane heading toward Florida right now,” Lara Trump responded. “Why is this government incompetent right now? Why don’t they have anything in order? Why are the citizens of Western North Carolina crying out for help right now, and it has to come from local citizens?”

As I wrote on Sunday, the corrupt corporate media has been easygoing with the Harris-Biden regime on its indigent disaster response, even as it went all nuclear on former President George W. Bush for his efforts after Hurricane Katrina in 2005 have. Good for Lara Trump for pushing back on her harmful, incendiary narratives.
