Charleston, WV (Wowk) – The Senators of West Virginia said goodbye to 15 bills today during the meeting on Thursday, one of which could reduce the supply costs.
Republican Senator Chris Rose believes that a legislative template that was passed on Thursday in the Senate could reduce the supply calculations. It is referred to as the guarantee of a reliable and affordable Electricity Act.
“What is currently happening in West Virginia is that we have several coal -fired power plants that have a 30 percent capacity while we buy electricity from the state on the net,” said Rose, who represents Monononia County. “The interest payer not only pays for this electricity purchase for your monthly electricity supply calculation, but you also pay that these systems are in reserve capacity. I think that is extremely unfair. The intention of the invoice is a” payment for what you get “model.”
The legislation was adopted at the age of 22 to 11 and Rose says that a revival in the coal industry of the Berg could be at the door.
“You see the production that returns to the United States.” Coal meets all of these demands. Here in West Virginia and in the United States you will see a coal -Renaissance. “
Together with the Senate, who has passed this and other legislative templates, minority leader Mike Woelel would like to see more talks in the Senate on Peia and Care.
“I’m fed up with being able to do cultural problems that dominate the scene,” said Woelel, who represents Cabell County. “I would really like to see that a substance comes out so that we can say that we helped people in West Virginia.”
All legislators could see that a special meeting was returning to State Capitol this summer, which was indicated by a social media contribution by governor Patrick Morrisey at the beginning of this week.
“When he says that it will be a long, hot summer in Charleston, I say that I will not threaten myself with a good time,” said Woelel with a slight smile.
The senators return to the West Virginia State Capitol on Friday morning.
