In a close primary for Arizona’s 8th Congressional District, Republican Abraham Hamadeh won the right to advance to the general election later this year.
Decision Desk headquarters made the call this evening.

Hamadeh was one of several Republicans in the race, including former Senate candidate Blake Masters.
On election day, Tuesday, the result was too close to predict, but now it seems as if Hamadeh has secured victory.
Interestingly, Hamadeh was one of two candidates endorsed by former President Donald Trump over the weekend. The other was Masters, who gave his endorsement on Truth Social.
“Blake Masters is a very successful businessman and an incredibly strong supporter of our movement to make America great again – he is smart and tough!” Trump told his supporters on Sunday. “Also, Abe Hamadeh, a veteran, former prosecutor and fearless fighter for election integrity, has been with me the whole time!”
“In Congress, we need a true warrior who will work tirelessly with us to grow our economy, stop inflation, secure our borders, end migrant crime, support our great military/veterans, and protect our ever-beleaguered Second Amendment,” he also said.
In November, Hamadeh will face Democrat Gregory Whitten, who won the seat unopposed in his party’s primary.
