Andrew Cuomo appeared alongside anti-Trump former Republican Congressman Adam Kinzinger on “Real Time with Bill Maher” on Friday, where he didn’t hold back on criticism of President Biden and the Democratic Party while defending former President Donald Trump. You read that right.

The former governor of New York (D) spoke openly and honestly about his thoughts on issues including the open border and the hush money trial against Trump.

Cuomo on Biden and the Democrats’ illegal immigration policy:

“Be [Biden] Immigration policy was a mistake. How you do it makes all the difference. Just opening the borders without a plan, you don’t know where it will lead, you don’t know who will pay for it. Who have you helped anyway?

The mayor [Adams] could have said no. The governor [Hochul] could have said no. New York has more ideological leftists. Everyone is welcome. Now, 200,000 people later, we realize that you needed a plan; you had to know what to do with these people.”

Cuomo is right. New York had no plan, but leaders welcomed the illegals and told the country they were a sanctuary. Governor Greg Abbott (R-TX) accepted their offer and Posted some of the illegal immigrants to New York. New York City was overwhelmed and unprepared, as the leaders there claimed.

The former New York governor continued to criticize Biden, this time for the way the campaign is being run, after Bill Maher asked him if the president was running a good campaign so far and what Cuomo would do to make it better:

“I don’t think he’s running a particularly good campaign, frankly. I think he has a big question to answer about his age, his ability to survive, etc. I think the only way to answer that question is to go out there and show yourself to people. That’s the only way to put this behind you. I don’t think you can hide from it, Bill.”

Democrats will do their best to minimize Biden’s public appearances, speeches and questions from reporters, and they will cover up his mistakes and gaffes by claiming they are “cheap fabrications.” This could backfire because COVID is no longer an excuse to hide Biden from voters like they did in 2020. As Cuomo said, the only option for Biden may be to appear more in public so voters can decide who they want as their next commander in chief.

Cuomo also defended Trump when asked about the New York hush money trial and also commented on the civil fraud lawsuit brought by Attorney General Letitia James:

“This case, the New York Attorney General’s case, frankly, should never have been brought to trial. If his name wasn’t Donald Trump and he wasn’t running for president. I’m the former Attorney General of New York. I’m telling you, this case would never have been brought to trial. And that’s what offends people. And it should be, because if there’s anything left, it’s faith in the legal system.”

Here is the full exchange:

Cuomo’s statement is true, but it will likely fall on deaf ears as Democrats believe they are doing everything right – from pursuing Trump to avoiding losing the support of black voters to dealing with the border crisis as the majority of Americans live in Opinion poll According to polls, they reject Biden and his policies. If they don’t change course, they will have a rude awakening in November.
