With his support of Donald Trump and subsequent Republican victories in the 2024 election, tech billionaire Elon Musk’s influence has only increased. This, of course, greatly angered the Democrats and their press allies, because that’s all her Wealthy supporters are allowed to become politically lively.

Of course, no one should be surprised by Musk’s renewed interest in cleaning up Washington. The Joe Biden-led Securities and Exchange Commission has repeatedly targeted the entrepreneur and another investigation has ensued reopened on December 13th. Strangely, the government found nothing wrong with Musk when he was an outspoken liberal. This is just a coincidence, I’m sure.
Regardless, things escalated on CNN on Monday when Wolf Blitzer hired Anthony Scaramucci to make what sounded like a mob boss threat against Musk.
🚨NEW: Anthony Scaramucci warns Elon to “stick to the point.”
“He just has to be very, very careful because he’s making enemies that he’s not aware of.”
“Give the politicians a little gas, because these people could harm you.”

SCARAMUCCI: Listen, he has a very forceful role. He has a $44 billion megaphone. He has over 200 million followers. He was instrumental in this election. I think Elon Musk did things in Pennsylvania alone that helped the president win this election, so he has a very gigantic vote.
But I think the problem for Elon Musk is that he has a little Potomac fever and you think that you’re going to go to Washington and change Washington. This is Potomac Fever.
He just has to be very, very careful because he’s making enemies that he doesn’t recognize, and the incentives in Washington are completely different than in economics, and so everyone is incentivized in different and sometimes irrational ways, and I think the power Washington has a great neurological system and I think they will find a way to refute him
So I wouldn’t tell Elon Musk to listen to me, stick to business, you’ve done a great job, you’ve made a few hundred million dollars since the election. Take your foot off the gas a little bit in politics because these people can hurt you and there is no need for you to get hurt. You’re doing so well in life.
Shorter Scaramucci: That’s a nice life you’ve built there. It would be a real shame if something happened to him.
Look, I’m not sure what the motivation behind the above excerpt was. Maybe Scaramucci really is concerned about Musk’s safety and success, although I doubt it. Be that as it may, it is clear from what is being said that so much is wrong with Washington. An American citizen should not be afraid of the “enemies” he makes by demanding that the government operate with a certain degree of reason and efficiency. But this is exactly the situation in which Musk (and others) find themselves who dare to attack the status quo.
That people in government “can do some damage,” as Scaramucci puts it, by getting in their way Exactly why Washington needs reform. Dismiss such attempts as “Potomac fever,” but things will certainly never change unless an attempt is made to change them. Americans are dealing with a corrupt, entrenched giant that will not quietly relinquish power. Therefore Musk shouldn’t “Give the gas to politics.” If anything, it’s time to get even tougher.
The easiest thing in the world would be for Musk to retreat to his successful companies and rake in money over the next four years of economic growth. That he is taking such a public and direct role in trying to reform the government speaks to his motivations. If they were purely selfish, he would simply do what every other billionaire does, which is hide in the shadows and receive handouts from capitalist cousins. That would be significantly less risky for him physically and financially.
And finally, why is Anthony Scaramucci still at CNN? Given his track record, what exactly does he offer in terms of commentary? CNN is currently experiencing its lowest ratings since its inception. Maybe it would support improve the quality of his guests. Scott Jennings cannot be expected to save the network himself.
