AOC has sad feelings about Democrats supporting GOP’s Trans Athlete Act ahead of Trump’s inauguration

We are now just four days away from the inauguration of the 47th President of the United States and some are getting into gear by publicly displaying their lack of common sense. The leader of this group of outstanding underdogs is one of my fan favorites from upstate New York, a juvenile lady named Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, or AOC.

Our juvenile heroine is quite upset and confused that someone with a “D” after their name would support a bill introduced in the House of Representatives Representative in Washington, DC, by their Republican colleagues.

Why is she upset about the bill?

Correct according to the article HEREThe goal is to prevent state-funded educational institutions from allowing transgender athletes to participate in girls’ and women’s sports.

Ocasio-Cortez’s viral rant against the Protecting Women and Girls in Sports Act wasn’t enough to convince Democratic allies Henry Cuellar and Vicente Gonzalez, both of Texas, to vote against the bill. Cuellar and Gonzalez joined 218 House Republicans who voted for the bill, which would prevent federally funded educational institutions from allowing transgender athletes to participate in girls’ and women’s sports.

For Ocasio-Cortez, the idea of Democratic members of Congress voting for a Republican-backed bill before President-elect Trump even returns to office suggests that her party is “not in good shape.”

Well, well.

AOC is right that the party isn’t in good shape, although it’s not nearly as bad as she thinks. Republicans lead the House by a narrow margin, and while Trump will occupy the White House starting Jan. 20, there isn’t much room for defection or consensus among the kids with an “R” after their name.

However, this issue is one of those examples where even logical Democrats can cross the aisle to demonstrate common sense.

AOC had a few other thoughts that always amuse me…

“We can’t be idiots about this,” Ocasio-Cortez told The Independent on Tuesday. “These are just the beginning. Trump hasn’t even been sworn in yet, and if a little sports bill were to make the Democrats defect, we’re not in good shape.”

Ocasio-Cortez advised Democrats not to be “ninnies” on the same day she delivered a widely mocked tirade that included several unsubstantiated claims and unfinished sentences. Her rant sparked several viral reactions on social media, with people calling her “the dumbest person in Congress.”[sic]”

She calls her fellow Democrats who don’t believe in funding transgender confusion with federal tax dollars and have a problem with it, idiots.

I would prefer 100 AOCs in Congress over a poll-driven elected official who has to try to figure out how he feels depending on what day it is and what poll numbers are handed to him before breakfast. This woman is a gift and a blessing; we should continue to value them. Republicans should try to search every district or state, find more AOCs and get them to run.

In most parts of the country, Republicans would win by default.

If I were advising President-elect Trump before he takes power at noon on Monday, I would make sure he informs his staff not to criticize the New York congresswoman directly, but to quietly republish and promote all of her madness .

Politically it is simply worth its weight in gold, especially on this issue.

That she would want to argue with her fellow Democrats over something so polarizing and just plain disgusting and advocate for biological men to be allowed to compete in women’s sports and employ the same locker rooms and shower facilities is baffling.

And yet here she is.

That her fellow Democrats’ support of preventing the employ of federal funds to promote this silliness simply flies in the face of the common sense that the American people voted against last November. You and the majority of Democrats who voted not to support this simply don’t get it.

I guess they might be a few idiots.
