Washington (Nexstar) – the former doctor of the White House of President Joe Biden, Kevin O’Connor, refused to answer questions from legislators who examine bidens alleged cognitive decline.
In a hearing closed door with the House Oversight Committee on Wednesday, Dr. O’Connor the Republicans by referring to the fifth change.
The Republican Congressman James Comer heads the investigation of the health of the former president. He is the first two questions that the committee Dr. O’Connor. And “Have you ever believed that President Biden fulfilled his duty?”
Comer banged O’Connor because he had called the fifth change in response.
“What Dr. O’Connor did today only added fuel to the fire that there was a cover -up and that Joe Biden did not act mentally as President of the United States,” said Comer. “I think that’s something every American is worried about.”
It is not unusual that witnesses take their fifth amendments to the congress in relation to the congress, and the lawyers of O’Connor say that he has an ethical obligation to keep the health information of patients privately.
The Democratic Congressman Jasmine Crockett defended O’Connor.
“I think he did what a good lawyer would recommend,” said Crockett.
She also pushed against the republicans’ claims about the health of the former president Biden.
“Admittedly, I didn’t see Joe Biden every day, but I had the opportunity to interact with the president that I had never got,” said Crockett.
She argues that it is time for the Republicans to continue.
“I don’t understand why we keep looking backwards. The reality is that the country was not from the rails when Joe Biden was sitting in the White House, the country is just from the rails,” said Crockett.
Republicans apply for testimonies from several former bidges, and Comer says that their investigations have not yet been completed.
