Washington (AP)-a controversial three-hour hearing between the US senators and Robert Kennedy Jr. turned into several screaming games on Thursday when the country’s health secretary accelerated allegations of comprehensive changes that he has made to vaccines, health policy and leadership.
The supervisory hearing in the Senate Finance Committee was a chance for senators, from Kennedy answers to the latest top-class drains in the centers for the control and prevention of diseases, the appointment of vaccination critics to find an influential Federal Advice Committee and changes to COVID-19-vaccine recommendations that make it harder for many Americans.
Both Democrats and Republicans came swing. They wondered if he would keep his earlier promise that he would not block vaccines for Americans they wanted. A frustrated Kennedy dismissed these arguments, but also sowed doubts about the safety and effectiveness of the vaccine from the prominent perch on the Capitol Hill.

Kennedy tried to discredit the CDC director
Kennedy repeated the report on the released CDC director Susan Monarez, who was abruptly removed from her contribution after less than a month in the job after less than a month. Monarez was nominated by President Donald Trump, approved for Kennedy’s job and confirmed in July by voting in the Senate.
In a Wall Street Journal published on Thursday, Monarez repeated that her recommendations from Kennedy’s hand-picked vaccination consultants from Kennedy received “preliminary” recommendations from “PreaapProve”, of which many records of the survey of the basic vaccine sciences have.
“I asked her: ‘Are you a trustworthy person?’ And she said “no”, said Kennedy, declaring his change of opinion to Monarez. “If you had an employee who told you that you were not trustworthy, would you ask you to step down?”
A lawyer who represented Monarez named Kennedy’s statements in a written explanation “wrong” and “obviously ridiculous”.
Later in the hearing, Kennedy admitted that he had announced Monarez that he should relieve several high -ranking CDC officials. Throughout the hearing, Kennedy accused the agency scientists that they have not fought chronic diseases and made unusual recommendations during the pandemic.
“The people who have supervised this process that our children who have closed our schools have commissioned masks are the people who will go,” said Kennedy.

For Kennedy, tough questions from livid senators were an opportunity to defend themselves.
Throughout the hearing, a determined Kennedy Senatorers accused of misrepresenting his agency and making little sense. As a result, the question of democratic senators turned repeatedly.
“You just do things,” said Kennedy to Sen. Tina Smith, a Democrat from Minnesota after accusing him of “accusing the school’s shootings at antidepressants”. The Health Minister in Fox News said after the recent shootings in Minnesota that antidepressants could possibly contribute to violence, and said his agency had examined. While critics of antidepressants have long claimed that they could escalate the behavior of the murder, the connection is not supported by several vast clinical studies of medicines.
When the democratic Senator Raphael Warnock from Georgia Kennedy about his derogatory rhetoric to CDC employees in front of a recently fatal shootout interviewed the agency in the agency, Kennedy replied:
Kennedy said that Senator Ben Ray Luján from New Mexico spoke “kisser” when the Democrat asked him about the details of autism research by his agency.
“Mr. Secretary, let me speak slowly and clearly so that you can understand me through my New Mexico accent,” replied Luján.
The senators asked the claim that “everyone can get the booster for covid”
Democratic senators urged Kennedy to the latest changes that narrowed the approval of the annual Covid 19 shots. He repeated her accusations.
Last month, the Food and Drug Administration approved recordings, but only for seniors or younger people with underlying health risks. This has triggered confusion and frustration by many Americans, including the parents who are interested in the vaccination of fit children.
“Why did you act behind closed doors to override scientists and limit the freedom of parents to choose the Covid vaccine for their children?” Democratic Senator Maggie Hassan from New Hampshire asked.
“It’s crazy conversation,” replied Kennedy. He later admitted that access to vaccines at pharmacies “depends on the state”.
In many states, pharmacists may legally be held from giving vaccines outside of the purposes approved by the CDC advisory committee, which causes CVS and other pharmacy chains to reject people who are looking for shots in certain countries.
“They promised that they would not take away vaccines from anyone who wanted them,” said Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts.
“I don’t take her from people,” said Kennedy, noticing that fit Americans who want a shot should still be able to get one when a doctor prescribes one. As a rule, Americans do not have to consult a doctor for annual vaccine updates.
Up to this year, FDA and CDC had recommended annual Covid vaccinations for everyone from 6 months.
Covid statistics remain a flash point
Kennedy could not be recorded on basic facts and statistics, especially with regard to vaccines and covid-19.
In an exchange with Senator Mark Warner, Kennedy claimed, nobody knows how many Americans died of Covid-19 because there is a lack of state data.
Both the CDC and the World Health Organization have concluded that around 1.2 million Americans died on the virus.
“The secretary for health and human services does not know how many Americans died of covid,” said Warner, a Democrat in Virginia. “How can you be so ignorant?”
The Republicans also urged Kennedy to assess the Warp Speed Operation, the initiative guided by Trump, which quickly developed Covid vaccines in the first year of pandemic. Trump has long claimed success for the efforts and recognized unfounded theories that mass vaccinations may have caused more damage than benefits.
Kennedy said it was unclear how many lives were saved by the vaccines, since the data collected by the CDC and vaccination and vaccination data did not collect any compulsory data.
When the Republican Senator Bill Cassidy from Louisiana – a doctor whose voice was the key to nomination from Kennedy, was questioned, Kennedy agreed that Trump had “absolutely” earned a Nobel Prize.
Vaccination problems were non -partisan
