Reports are emerging that a protest march by immigrants and other enraged New Yorkers is breaking out in Manhattan. The demonstrators carry signs accusing President-elect Donald Trump of being racist, fascist, sexist, anti-gay and transphobic. They also protest against mass deportations and “systematic oppression”:

A day after the election, Trump spoke with New York City Mayor Eric Adams and the two discussed how to bring about positive change for the city. Then Adams abruptly ended the immigrant food voucher program, which has cost the city at least $3.6 million since March of this year. Adams, a Democrat, has been vocal about the immigration crisis and the strain the massive influx of asylum seekers is putting on city funding and services, as well as his disappointment with the federal government’s response.

Ironically, Trump won more Hispanic votes than any other Republican candidate. Accordingly End pollshe got 45 percent of the Latino vote.

Others protested against “fascist Trump.”

And others had signs that read, “This world does not belong to the 1%.”

Some videos on X show a counter-protest formation of Trump supporters chanting “USA!” in response to the anti-Trump crowd.
