All polls showed Pennsylvania having a close race in the presidential race.

A tight Senate race was also predicted between Republican Dave McCormick and Sen. Bob Casey (D-PA). McCormick has been able to close the gap in recent days and the latest Real Clear Polling numbers showed Casey leading by +1.8 on election day.

They knew Casey was trying to lean right when he even did a commercial with President Donald Trump showing that Democrats in complex races like his know that would assist them, and that they really don’t believe that he is “Hitler”. Casey has been in office for 18 years, so despite his efforts to run to the center, unseating him was a lofty order. But McCormick was up to the task.

HUGE: Donald Trump wins Pennsylvania

Then, early Wednesday morning, Trump won with apparent defeat and an overwhelming mandate from the public. He has now won all the battleground states and is likely to win the popular vote, his first since George W. Bush 20 years ago.

But the call for David McCormick’s victory in the Pennsylvania Senate was a long time coming, even though he was well ahead of Senator Bob Casey by around 35,000 votes and more than 90 percent of the vote.

I’m not sure what prevented that, as it seemed like the remaining votes came from areas that would largely benefit him. If they have that, they usually call the race early.

On Thursday, given the evidence, it was quite ridiculous that people were shouting about how tardy the call was.

After all, they demanded it for McCormick.

That means three have been unseated, including Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) and Sen. John Tester (D-MT). This means that there are now 53 Republican senators in the recent Congress.
