The FBI loves their acronyms – FISA, SAC, VICAP – but in the future there will be one less: DEI. The office quietly abandoned its diversity, equity and inclusion efforts and closed the office in December, they say a report.
The FBI has closed its DEI office, Fox News can confirm.
“In the last few weeks the FBI “We have taken steps to close the Office of Diversity and Inclusion (ODI) effective December 2024,” the agency told Fox News Digital on Thursday.
The agency did not say why it closed the office, although many Republicans have been critical of prioritizing diversity, equity and inclusion, saying it has overshadowed national security.
DEI has been a warm topic lately with a fresh sheriff (Donald Trump) coming to town along with one of his deputies, FBI director candidate Kash Patel. None of them are fans of DEI or “woke,” and the FBI is probably just trying to stay on top of the situation, knowing that if they don’t, Trump, Patel, and Co. will do it for them .
Critics have argued that wokeism and DEI have contributed to the military’s recruiting crisis and have neglected the focus of authorities in New Orleans, where the horrific New Year’s terror attack took place, as well as the Los Angeles Fire Department, which currently controls parts of the city as they burn down Laying down foundations, even if they spend millions on woke policies.
Marsha Blackburn is one of the many Conservative MPs who are proven to be anti-DEI. The Republican senator from Tennessee sent a letter to former FBI Director Christopher Wray – who resigned in December before Trump took office and left – after the New Orleans attack, saying: “I am deeply concerned that – under your leadership – the…The Bureau has prioritized diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives over its core mission of protecting the American people.”
Many major companies in the United States – including Walmart, Meta, Boeing, Ford, John Deere and more – have announced this they end (or severely scaled back their DEI programs) after intense pressure from activists like Robby Starbuck.
