Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg is scheduled to speak on the third day of the Democratic National Convention on Wednesday evening. After the barrage of untruths, lies, bizarre speeches and the hyping up of a weakening and irate Joe Biden, this Democratic convention is one of desperation. Almost as if, despite Kamala Harris’ campaign being in the doldrums and her intention to cheat (you know it’s true), they still aren’t sure they’ve got it in the bag.
The fact that the Democrats have not outlined any legitimate policies, that they barely mention the chaos of inflation, crime and rampant border opening that has developed during their time in office, and that they cannot keep Trump’s name out of their mouths shows that they do not have much to play with other than good humor, joy and bringing in the Obamas for a “hopium injection”.

So, believe me, Buttigieg will be quarantined and probably narrow to 5-10 minutes at most. There was a reason he was quickly removed from the vice presidential race; they need the white working class votes, and besides Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm (Note that she has NO speaking slot on the main stage), Buttigieg’s follies and failures as Biden and Harris’s Secretary of Transportation have only hurt this voting bloc.
The Center for Transportation Policy is ahead of its time and ready to take on the task of reminding the American people of the infrastructure failures and tragedies that occurred under the leadership of Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg. As I mentioned before, no one except the most seasoned politicians remembers the name of the Transportation Secretary of any administration, Democrat or Republican. Thanks to the CTC, Pete Buttigieg’s name will go down in infamy. He is a clear reflection of the failures of the Biden-Harris administration and another example of what awaits us if we end up with a Harris-Waltz administration.
That is exactly what the CTC aims at.
This release is part of the regulator’s ongoing campaign to hold the Department of Transportation accountable for its indigent record and policies. The video shows a montage of transportation disasters under Buttigieg’s watch, including the Baltimore Bridge collapse, the February 2023 train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio, and repeated passenger train breakdowns in New York this summer.
“Contrary to the glowing headlines praising Pete Buttigieg, the Department of Transportation is missing the boat. According to the federal government, there were an average of three train derailments per day last year, and that record is unacceptable,” said Jackson Shedelbower, executive director of CTP. “The Department of Transportation must be held accountable for its poor performance.”
REGARD:
It must be remembered that President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris have barely acknowledged the great damage caused by the Norfolk Southern derailment. Toxic chemicals leaked into the water and soil of East Palestine, Ohio, leaving thousands of residents homeless. Former President and Republican candidate Donald Trump not only acknowledged their pain but visited the region shortly after the tragedy in February 2023. Although Secretary Pete showed his ragged backside shortly afterward, Biden waited a full year before even bothering to tour the region. And cackling Kamala? Missing as usual. Reports of health problems, even among the workers carrying out the clean-up workare still being documented.
Buttigieg and his terrible management of our national infrastructure is just another example of Biden and Harris’ failures. So expect Buttigieg not to mention “racist streets” or the nation’s security under Harris. Expect him to emphasize how he fought for “the people’s rights” in the airline debacles, though, and to call for action to pristine up East Palestine or quickly rebuild the Baltimore Bridge. We may also hear that he and his husband Chasten were only able to become parents through the miracles of artificial insemination, and that these evil Republicans want to take that away from them.
Bet on it. The CTC also has a Profile Listing the number of tragedies that have occurred under Buttigieg’s tenure. Hopefully this and the CTC ad will further shatter the illusion the DNC is trying to create that Harris has the necessary experience, competence, or judgment to lead this country.
