It’s January 6th, which means it’s time for Democrats to signal how great they are, how terrible Republicans are behaving, and how hazardous Donald Trump is.
And that means New York Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer is going to find a working camera and do all three of the above, because if Democratic leaders didn’t have lie-based virtue signaling, what would they have?
This includes a minute’s silence in memory of those who “lost their lives as a result of the events of January 6th”. This is clever wording to get around the fact that only one person died as a result of the events that day: Ashli Babbit, a woman shot by Officer Michael Byrd at the Capitol.

The other people Democrats say died did not die as a result of January 6th. Brian Sicknick, for example, died the following day from complications of a stroke. All other deaths that day were due to things like heart attacks or drug overdoses.
Nevertheless, the Democrats do not want to talk about it openly. The common narrative they want you to believe is that Trump led an insurrection that conservatives and “MAGA” were more than willing to carry out.

In addition, Schumer decided to say that he and his colleagues serve as role models for Republicans when it comes to accepting election results. Democrats insist that they peacefully certified the election and act as if they will never stoop to the point of denying the election.

Schumer’s virtue signaling is just one of many “reminders” of January 6th happening on the left today, and each one is just as exaggerated and ridiculous as the next. As I wrote on Monday, this has become something of a holy day for Democrats and the left.
This includes politicians and media figures alike, including CNN and the hosts of “The View,” all of whom sought to portray January 6 as a day that would live in infamy alongside events like 9/11 and the Holocaust.

Here’s a statistic Democrats don’t like to talk about.
In 2024, a total of 573 homicides occurred in Chicago alone… and that’s worth celebrating because this is the first time since 2019 that homicides were below 600, they say ABC affiliate WLS-TV Chicago.
They want you to misunderstand January 6th as much as possible, especially when it comes to who died and why. However, they don’t seem to be too worried about the deaths that occur every year in one of America’s largest cities, which has been under Democratic control for ages.
There are a lot of atrocities that we could really focus our attention on, but you will often find that the enormous majority of them are due to decisions made by the Democratic Party. That’s why when something happens that could be associated with Trump, the Conservatives, the Republicans, or “MAGA,” they will pull out all the stops to make it a much bigger deal than it is.
