Although there is supposedly some tension in the air at the DNC, there is one thing that is occupying the entire Democratic Party establishment: and no, it is not Donald Trump.
As CNN commentator Scott Jennings explained to a panel during the DNC hype, the Democrats have a sedate problem in the form of Democrats, particularly because they have been in charge for most of the decade and a half.
Yet, even though they were behind the wheel – and Kamala Harris was one of those drivers – they still try to blame Trump for everything bad that happens in this country. And Jennings simply noticed that the Democrats are tiptoeing around.
As you can see in the video, the panel sat in silence as Jennings made this very valid point:
“The gap I see in all these speeches – as good as they were – [Kamala Harris] is in the White House right now. The Democrats have controlled the White House for 12 of the last 16 years, and for all the talk about division and the problems in the country and the suffering of the people, the Democrats have largely controlled this country.
Trump had it for four years, the Obamas and Biden had it the rest of the time, and somehow it’s all still Trump’s fault, and somehow she wasn’t at the center of it. To me, that’s the glaring hole in this campaign that wasn’t filled at the convention. How do you explain all the problems that are supposed to be solved by the person who’s been there for three and a half years now and who should be working to solve them?”
A CNN commentator stunned his fellow panelists by mentioning a plain fact:

Jennings is absolutely right. The folks at the DNC and members of the Democratic Party media bubble may have convinced themselves that it is all Trump’s fault, but the truth is much clearer in the real world, where people are paying a lot more today than they did when Trump was in office.
And Democrats don’t have an answer to the state of the country that makes them look good, which is precisely why they have to rely on the “Orange Man Bad” line of attack. Their incompetence and irresponsibility on everything from the economy to the border cannot be dismissed by pointing fingers when they have controlled the nation for most of that time.
As the New York PostA majority of the population believes that the country is on the wrong path:
87% of Republicans said the country is moving in the wrong direction. Only 8% said the country is moving in the right direction and 5% were not sure.
Forty-three percent of Democrats said America is moving in the right direction. A nearly as gigantic percentage — 42 percent — said the country is moving in the wrong direction. Sixteen percent of Democrats said they were unsure.
Sixty-nine percent of voters who identify as independent said the country is moving in the wrong direction, 16 percent said America is moving in the right direction, and 15 percent were not sure.
It wasn’t Trump who put us on this path, it was the Biden/Harris administration.
