Trump spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt spoke on CNN on Monday morning about the upcoming presidential debate between President Joe Biden and former president and likely Republican nominee Donald Trump. But when Leavitt rightly pointed out that CNN moderators Jake Tapper and Dana Bash have been biased against her candidate in the past, moderator Kasie Hunt deemed it unprofessional and beyond the borders.

CNN presenter Kasie Hunt abruptly ended an interview with Donald Trump’s press secretary Karoline Leavitt on Monday morning after she had repeatedly sharply criticized her colleague Jake Tapper.
Three days before the first presidential debate, Hunt asked Leavitt how the Republican was preparing for his confrontation with President Joe Biden.
Leavitt accused Biden of “hiding” while Trump prepared to “enter a hostile environment on this very network with debate moderators who have made their opinions about him very clear over the last eight years.”
She said Tapper and Dana Bash were “biased,” to which Hunt intervened, insisting they were “professional.”
Conservative and right-wing media immediately defended Leavitt and presented videos that demonstrated the “professionalism” of Hunt’s colleagues Dana Bash and Jake Tapper.

These few clips also reflect Tapper’s “professionalism,” like this one in 2020, after the media had elected Joe Biden president. Tapper pontificated that the end of the Trump presidency meant that our “long national nightmare is over.”

“It was a time when truth and facts were treated with contempt,” @JakeTapper says. “It was a time of cruelty when official inhumanities such as child separation became shameful United States policy. But now Trump’s presidency is coming to an end…” pic.twitter.com/Ky1D9NX9aa

Then, after CNN hosted a 2023 Trump City HallTapper offered this “professional” version.
In this 2019 rant, Tapper is furious about Trump’s targeting of the sacred cow, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
So yes, Kasie Hunt, these are just a few examples of the unbiased “professionalism” displayed by your colleague Jake Tapper.
Ms. Kasie was not content about being held accountable for the apparent shutdown of Leavitt’s speech, so she posted this veiled vitriol on X.
You come on my show, you respect my colleagues. Period. I don’t care which side of the aisle you’re on, as my track record clearly shows.
— Kasie Hunt (@kasie) 24 June 2024
“As the track record clearly shows?” What exactly does it show? That CNN is full of partisan hacks who allow Democrats to rattle off their own garbage while Republicans and conservatives are challenged, silenced and berated? As a mighty spokesperson that she is, Leavitt contradicted Hunt’s published lies.
They cut my microphone because I brought up the debate moderator’s history of anti-Trump lies.
This reinforced our view that President Trump will not be treated fairly on Thursday.
Nevertheless, he is ready to go into this 3-1 fight to deliver his winning message to the Americans… https://t.co/EIsiKzvxeq

They cut me off because I brought up the moderator’s history of lying against Trump. That reinforced our point that President Trump will not be treated fairly on Thursday. Yet he is willing to go into this 3-1 fight to deliver his winning message to the American people, and he will win.
A cognitively impaired president with two obviously biased moderators who have a history of attacking Trump and turning their backs on Biden. What else could go wrong? The biological waste has already hit the circular wind ladder. Thursday’s debate will only show how much more they plan to shovel.
