Kamala has finally agreed to do an interview with CNN’s Dana Bash after weeks of avoiding interviews since she was nominated without a popular primary. But as we reported, the interview will not be broadcast live, but recorded, and she will conduct it with her running mate, Tim Walz.
This immediately raises questions. Is she so faint that she can’t even do a plain interview on her own? Former President Donald Trump and his running mate do solo interviews all the time. It shouldn’t take so much effort and preparation. If getting them to do a joint interview is a piece of cake, then there’s a gigantic problem. Megyn Kelly has even taken aim at her weakness, calling Walz her “emotional support governor.”

CNN even hosted a panel discussion about the interview itself, with Anderson Cooper asking, “Is it going to be a question of why doesn’t she do it alone?” Political commentator Scott Jennings responded by simply attacking Harris.
CNN’s Scott Jennings on Kamala Harris’ first campaign interview with Walz:

“I think it’s incredibly weak – weak move – to show up with the running mate. The fact that they don’t have enough confidence in her to let her even go to the top of the ballot and do a single interview. In fact, I think the hand-wringing and the furore over this over the last month shows a disturbing lack of confidence in her political abilities. It also makes you wonder as a voter what kind of president you would be if this kind of little thing – can we do an interview or not – how does that affect the decision-making process, etc.? Yeah, I think Republicans are going to think it’s pretty weak to show up with someone who takes half the time.”
Yes, Anderson, the answer is why doesn’t she do it herself, because that’s a logical question after all this delay. The question is not, “Republicans are seizing” – it’s, what Jennings said, why is she doing this, why does she have to do this? That’s a gigantic red flag for voters, as if they needed another one about Harris.
Good for Jennings for being willing to say that on CNN and completely trash Harris. He’s shown before that he has no problem vilifying Democrats when they show they have no shame.

Of course, CNN could get around this move by Harris by routing all questions to her. That is, if they were interested in asking her real questions and testing her. But I wouldn’t bet on it. I’m pretty sure we’ll see Walz step in if necessary, and that should be fascinating, since he seems to be effectively challenged.
Harris, however, will not be able to have a teleprompter or Tim Walz present during the debate, and that could be the point at which the election reaches its climax.
Weak sauce, Harris. https://t.co/EqZR4EQEEn
